  1. Been looking online to see if anyone has ever decarbed in a slow cooker but didn't really find anything so decided to give it a go myself, (seen lots of butter making but no actual decarbing) Due to not being able to stink the house out i decided to try and debarb and then make the butter all in a slow cooker up my shed. Bought a cheap oven thermometer to gauge the temp inside the SC. Found out that if i kept an eye on things and i occasionally flicked between the low and high settings i could keep the temps around 110-120c A i used the trim from 2 autos and also added a few buds, baked them for about 35mins. o Once decarbed i just followed the instructions i found online on how to make canna butter in a SC... https://www.leafly.com/news/lifestyle/recipe-how-to-make-basic-cannabutter i only had half a stick of butter available but smells and looks ok! im yet to try it yet. Will update when i do. (kept in the freezer for the time being)

  3. After ruining most of my weed after burning it I have managed to dry my last plant and now have 3oz (90g) of dried, ground and decarboxylated bud. I want to make an oil based ticture something similar to the CBD oils you can buy online but much stronger and with THC in it too and without using solvents. (today I hear you can buy CBD oils from Holland & Barrett) I've read about making cannabutter, Rick Simpson Oil and other edibles and my weed is now decarbed so has anyone got any views on how to proceed from here? Many thanks Cmoon
  4. I got to wondering why the Magic Butter Machine doesn't use water. So I put the GoogleFu to action. With two simple words 'wash cannabutter' gone are the days of the hand-me-down methods of the old hippy ways, we all cant help but trust. So if you dont wash out the chlorophyll when you simmer in water/butter, when do you? Simple... After! Same process we all know of adding water until clear. I'll outline what I have so far since this info isnt pinned on UK420, which was REALLY surprising. So correct if I'm wrong 1. All the other hash methods seek out PURE solvent. So why are butter makers diluting? PURE edible extract only! CLARIFIED BUTTER! Google it! 2. Grind and decarbox in oven in sealed jar @ 200F let cool before opening so any vapors settle. 3. Do 30 minutes (in double boiler method or magic butter machine) at no more than 230F - or whatever temp your heart/brain likes! 30 minutes is all you need with pure edible solvents 4. Leave all plant material in butter, and put in freezer for 12 or 24 hours. 5. Use double boiler to melt (NOT reheat!) butter to strain plant matter with cheese cloth or whatever method you like. 6. Refreeze. Add water, light melt, mix to wash. 7. Repeat step 6 until clear water Think about it people. If ice water hash works because THC is NOT SOLUBLE in water, its pointless, and actually harming your cannabutter during important time of extraction. Disclaimer: This is pretty much an article I found in my own words. read the source here

  7. So I've decided to make cannabutter with the left over trim from my grow. It's in the slow cooker now but I'm wondering if I should quickly go and buy more butter? 250g Butter 24g Wet trim (Partially wet it's been left out for 2 days) 8g of already been vaped bud. Will this be too strong?
  8. Greetings all, Just wanted to share the simple process I used to make cannabutter with some ABV. I don't have exact measurements, I was quite skeptical of this actually working but the resulting butter had me lifted, shifted, higher than the ceiling haha. I had just over a half oz of ABV - it was a mixture of various strains and ranging in colors from light to dark brown. I used Lurpak & Olive Oil mixed together, the amount I'm unsure of but it resulted in 100ml of liquid butter when finished. To start with I melted down the Lurpak, on the smallest gas burner I have which is labelled as simmer, on the lowest flame possible. After the Lurpak had melted, I added a little Olive Oil in there, just to raise the fat content of the mixture. After this, I added in all of the ABV and kept tinkering with the liquid level until all the ABV was covered. I allowed this to sit on simmer, for 1 hour & 30 minutes, extraction hood on and covered with a lid, making sure to stir the contents every 10 minutes. Toward the back end of the process, the butter looked like this: I strained the mixture using a fine mesh strainer into a measuring jug, now there was a lot of the ABV that was left in the strainer, and I pressed this against the mesh with a spoon to squeeze out every possible drop. I will admit that I used some of the warm liquid in my Sunday Roast, putting 1 teaspoon of butter into 3 Yorkshire puddings & added two more teaspoons over chicken and potatoes. Later on I also used the set butter to top a scone The resulting high that was achieved, was an extremely strong body buzz, I don't think I've ever experienced one like that before, a nice head high, and the reddest, bloodshot eyes I've ever had. It was perfect for a lazy Sunday evening in bed watching Netflix
