Carrying on from bubbas Q, why shouldn't you use boost during flowering? Surely the plants would benefit from it the same way it does during veg. Making nutes available, giving the microherd a kick up the batty,& generally conditioning the soil.Have noticed my PM soil, the top layer of the pots looks flat & crispy.(6 wks into flower.Sagamartha Bubbleberry.) Wouldn't this Boost help with that as well? Cheers,reds... :smokin:

You should be gently breaking up the top of the compost before you water, that will prevent the top layer from compacting; or use a layer of clay pebbles/rinsed sharp sand on the surface.

Use your fingers or a dinner fork to lightly break up the top of the medium.

I'd imagine it's a burn/flavour issue being the reason veg boost isn't advised in flower.

OT1 or anyone else that can answer please... I have a tub of Sannies Bacto in the cuboard. At pot up I use Boost but thought it would be a good time to also use the Bacto. I wanted to know if anything in the boost would be detrimental to the Bacto or vice versa?

Bacto Ingredients:
bascillus licheniformis
bacillus megaterium
bacillus poymyxa
bacillus subtilis
bacillus thuringiensis
actinomyceten:Streptomyces griseovirides
Trichoderma harzianum bodemschimmel

also contains:
solved humusextract from wich 17% humusacids
sugar(dextrose)
seaweed-extract(Ascophyllum nodosum)
Maltodextrine
gist extract
Myconate(van klaver)

The only thing id watch is to much humic acid may make feeding sensitive to nutrient burn other than that i see no issues mixing

I see that this can be used with catalyst or maxicrop if desired in the essence brew although not essential
