is this a carbon filter?

18 posts in this topic

Hi, a mate just gave me what he is saying is a carbon filter, but i have my doubts.

Its made by Rhino Pro but it has no holes in the outer skin and the centre is open both ends.

So basically what is it?

Thats exactly what i am thinking.

I did have a quick google of inline carbon filters, there is one made by Phresh, but going by the pictures and youtube video, it has a smaller filter inside it

It is an inline fan silencer normally connected directly to extractor fan to reduce noise generated from the fan and/or air movement. The longer the silencer the more effective it is. It is most definitely not a carbon filter. Also known as inline duct muffler.

easiest way to find out if its a  filter or a silencer  is to scream the word   "GANJA"   down one hole ... listen at the other end and if it comes through  quieter ..... its DEFINATLY  a silencer     lol
