Carbon filters , 2x100s rvk vs 1x 200rvk

why use a 200mm rvk with a controller when I can use two 100s no controller ?

my thinking is surly the 100mm fans will be quieter ?

both cost about the same .

Both use about the same space nothing to impede on  floor space anyways.

What am I missing?

The fact that the 200 l1 RVK shifts 1008 metres cubed an hour against the 184 an hour for each 100 rvk.

So it would be 1008 vs 368.  More than double the air moved. :yep:

A 8" fan trumps two 4" fans every time.

also if you use a controller, its a god send especially if noise/stealth is an issue.

The 200 is to noisy even on the controller it’s only a 2m x3m x120cm

so id get away with the two 100s

or is there quiet /silenced fans that work yet ?

im surprised there not company’s doing full breathing systems intake outake and controllers , they all seem to be put together yourself .

get a better controller which is transformer based, in my old set up, I could sleep 2ft away from my tent with a 6" Ruck fan running at 40% power,

in fact the noisiest thing in my various grows over the years was the 6" clip on fans.

The smaller diameter fans will be noisier as the duct is smaller diameter = more turbulence noise .. Use the larger fan and then use next size ducting up on outlet size always helps reduce the whoosh .obv if using bigger ducting you need an adaptor like 8 inch to 10 inch .:oldtoker:
