Mazar 2001

30 posts in this topic

I had to post a little tribute to this classic strain. My last grow some years ago was this special stain from Dutch Passion.

It had a taste I can remember to this day and have not experienced since. Dutch Passion I salute you guys for keeping the genetics alive of this plant and I will be buying seeds for my first grow back in the game after 13 years in the wilderness.

Coming to Amsterdam in Aug and I think a trip to Utrechtsestraat is most certainly in order!

lol

Not as bad as "Well my pants are 15 days old now and I just want to know if its ok to switch to my 600w dual-spec"

:P

In all seriousness though Mazar has always been on my 'to grow' list. I only hope its still as good now as it was in 2001

Was very happy with what turned out from the Mazar strain.

Taste is a good one, all by itself.

How bout this. Not often can you put one out and look forward to burning what's left over. Taste from start to finish. ;)

cheers George. Mazar remains one of our best, even though it's a golden oldie these are sometimes hard to beat.

@@DutchPassionTony have you guys changed the strain much in the past 13 years or will I get what I remember as an unreal strain?

^ Good question .

I've grown it three times and it was 2002/2003 when I first grew it . It was very pungent ,with a hint of fruit but there was also a decaying carcass smell ,which would turn your nostrils but not as unpleasant as it might sound . It was fairly consistent anyway but it's been 5 or 6 years since I've last grown it and now I have a cut from a mazar mother ,only the mother is different to the stinky mazar from before but still nice . It certainly ain't as smelly ,or at least the individual plant could be different to the more common phenotype . That would probably make sense because this time the cut's from a regular plant and not feminised .

@@DutchPassionTony Could I trouble you with a question or two please? My wife has Multiple Sclorosis and I want to find a strain the you would recommend for her condition. She does not like smoking so I would look to make her edibles or oils of some sort maybe. What strains would you suggest. I hear CBD strains could be something worth looking into? Thanks in advance. hey George

If your wife has MS I would definitely consider a CBD variety. Send me a PM to discuss details if you like, but we get a lot of solid medical feedback on the CBD-rich varieties. CBD-rich is something we call a variety with 4% or more CBD in dried buds, traditional varieties have around 0.1% or so CBD on average.

Below are 3 recent blog articles we did on CBD varieties, well worth a read

our selection of CBD rich varieties is ComPassion, CBD SkunkHaze and CBD Kush. http://www.dutch-passion.nl/en/cannabis-seeds/medical/
