Lovely as always AM. These OHS are something aren't they? Nice n' healthy. Only manageed four tops on my mainlined OHS n' TE. They'll be great to watch as they form what i think will be good sized colas.Atb Bro.

They are a great bunch of healthy "Dutch Dames"..!.....Canny, glad you are noticing the difference in quality from other items, accordingly, comparatively.... I would love to meet a Dutch Dame, Or any come to that, with that sort of vigor for life, going on bro, but thet all seem buried in "IT", and unavailable, like me ..!!......But for me with these OHS Dames,......i just like the "Powder Florescent Green" the primary's throw....delectable color, flouro.

There isant a great deal of "Skunky Bouquet" coming from the Dames, as yet, at 7.6Wks, it's there but very subtle, which is pleasing as it shows i am changing air volume (9.75Cm) hourly above base line !!....now i have an active 6c below ambient, positive pumped, inline filtered, external air pressure source, taking vacuam passive load of internal fan, out to 4no 125mm carbon filter on a 4 way manifold set, which also reduces the "Back Pressure" at carbon filter end, externally..........creating a low presure exit from the 4no cans...............= increased air flow !!.............it must shift around 250-290Cm (Cubic meter) an hour. Room volume 10Cm..........but room still runs at 26c...........as my thermo fan tells me !!...........and numerous positioned High Low temp gauges, placed high and low !!...........they all cant be wrong inc one out of "Direct Light" heat PAR...etc....AM

"The OHS Skunk Perfume Will Be Upon Me Soon" though !!.........................but with 4no 125mm pheats on manifold, and 400 cubic meter hour of push from a 100mm thermo fan in room, the set can deal with it at Rh 60%, have tested by "Nose" at 1m, at 68% Rh and nothing in an air ambient adjacent to filter of 24.5c, and Rh of 72% . bring on the Skunk Bouquet...!!......"God Dam Sir,, "Star Wars 7", Seems A Long, Long, Way, Away Luke"....AM

Update; Orange Hill Special Day 54 Flower 14. The Dutch Dames..oranjie !!

At 2 weeks since switch to 12/12...........suddenly, the OHS Dames, has pounced into flower, with superb vigor. using the veg nute to build fast bud primary structure rapidly. Quite surprising, but most welcome rapid fruit developments.....OHS......Ec above tap still 0.56 Ph 6.4.......26.5c........VP Deficit is, (less than) < 40%, and is making a powerful difference to early fruitification window. Stretch pretty much complete now, tallest 1.45m from soil, smallest 90cm........the show goes on OHS >>>...AM

OHS Update; day 63 only 2 months from 1st wetting, and day 23 flowering;

They have now started building trichs on the flower micro fan leaves. Which is mental, only 3 weeks into flowering phase. An omen for a heavy trich laden outcome. Some of the flower structures are building into 14" long atm. I can only wonder at the final length and diameter of these flowers bearing 21% content.

Triching up this early, has only happened once before, and not this early either. So i am envisaging, this could be the largest fruit i have ever brought forward. Still can only wonder at the finished height of these OHS. icon_e_biggrin.gif

They are still on low nute input. 200ppm 0.4Ec tap TDS & buffer top up = 200ppm. Nute = 250ppm 0.5 Ec = total Ec 0.9 at 450ppm total TDS. Now watering at 1ltr ea/day1, at Ph 6.5 now. Room temp low is 21c high is 28 max. RH creeping up, reducing VP Deficit @ 58-62. 62% on wet rainy day's, usually 55-58%. icon_cool.gif
They are not batting an eyelid, or putting a foot wrong. The res is kept below 22c for o2 saturation, and root matrix temp reasons. But they are thriving on 250-285ppm, and no flush needed at end of veg this journal. No issues to report, other than terrific growth and energy distribution with these OHS...

:chef:
On low nute, the fans retain the correct color, with no curling up or down, or tip burn or flushing,
or def signings !!...... the genesis is performing to spec on low composite nutrient input, at this stage, after
a couple of runs on it, would like to say i a prove of it. As it is of a higher concentration, it last very well to.
Am inputting 'Microbase" & Bloom only now, and leaning towards a 1:2 ratio of this mix. ie 1 off base 2 of bloom...
nxt update, in 10 days, should have doubled the fruit size by then !! still 8wks left of "Bloom" nute !!... Thanks for dropping in.. ;) AM

Hi AM, Great the ohs aren't they. I looked in on one of mine that's at day 24 12/12. The first un mainlined one that i just topped. WOW!. 90cm H,trics,10cm Internode space already closing to form colas,sticky too. You're right mate these are beauties. My one mainlined OHS n' TE have been lst'd n' potted on to 10ltr A/pots but because of circumstances have now been in veg for 10wks,9 of those in a 1ltr A/pot.lol. Now they have been in the 10ltr A/pot for a wk i can see the four tops on each starting to grow again.I'll put pics up soon,memory card filled today at my Daughters wedding. Lovely Day! Me in a suit.Ha Ha.They'd almost stopped in that tiny pot.lol. I'll let them rest for another week n' move them to 12/12. I wouldn't be surprised if they go mad n' produce good sized budz. I'm not bothered about the time delay,my fault,i had other things on. It's given me time to understand the tech' n' now i have my grow sorted again i'll be employing mainlining as a routine for the forseeable furure, Thanx for teaching me it. Atb mate. :)

Topping the OHS once at centre line will only deduct a small amount of the final height Cb. My final post early flower stretch stopped at 1.2m from soil. The Ultimate was 1.6m !! Be careful of exceeding 10wks veg, as this can trigger hermie if present ok, as the plant thinks summer aint ending or it's in wrong latitude. Causing it to panic and herm out !! Will get some pics up of my main nxt update Cb. I was late in room, just before lights on. So just had time to get pics for update before lights came on !!......rushing home for 5.50pm !!.........but will get some up ok.... AM

Day 74 & 33 of Flower, 2 days short of 5wks of flowering; OHS;

So 3 to possibly 4wks left of flower, before 10-14 day flush starts;
Started Pk boost now at 1ml ltr, going up from there, to 250ppm last 3wks etc...
3 of the OHS have now showed 3mm tip burn at 400ppm of nute, and 200ppm of alkaline buffer & cal/mag, giving an overall Ec of 0.93 (Hanna),
and are just starting to show initial signs of calcium & magnesium lock out. Due to to higher Ph in soil, around or just above Ph7.
So will have to RO flush those girls asap, flush at 5.8 RO to bring down substrate Ph.

Even though i kept veg & early flower nute to a minimum, flush still needed on 3. But better than most of them as before.
After stripping around 15% of fan leaves, the extra light penetration has helped to double the flowers size in the last ten days since last update.
They are responding very well to 180 degree rotation daily, and even flower growth as a result.

Most are showing very slight tip burn at this stage, 4-5wks from end, so not to bad. Showing i could use less nute next time !!
Temps are, Low 21c high 28c RH 43-54 high. temps creeping up as summer temp ambient pushes in. 16c air plus 10c room background ambient = 26-28c !1 another 3c air and temps and Rh will be up there !!

The OHS large & medium fans are very rugged, like tough and thickish texture, like terain hardy !!
So far though, the low nute has delivered no issues, and has delayed flush, to half way through flower.
I would usually flush once after veg, and at end of flower. No other issues encountered so far with OHS >> 5wks of flower OHS >>

OHS

They are putting on weight a a pace, from here 4-5wks left to flush, these should be hevy weight fruits,
have already fitted support canes for these fruits, as some OHS are 1.3m from soil. needs support for sure !!
The bows are trained post sigle topping, to be upright and quite tigh on the over diameter of the plant, each
under 60cm plant diameter, and "lollypopped" below, with stronger, longer lower bows due to topping main stem once @5wks, 1 week post sexing.

So far no complaints with these Dutch Dames de "Oranje" thanks for looking in guy's, nxt update 10 days.... AM

Id'e. go with that, at this stage,......Geo, &Chr's m8......

Am's 2nd to last OHS Dames; Update !!" Dp's "Orange Hill Special" @Day 84 @12wks o/a, @Day 43 @6wks of Fruiting;........

WOW; The Dutch Dames, De Orenji have gone mental after bringing the "VPD" back into line, got RH down to 45-48 the diff shows, got temps back into range, with outdoor ambient soaring, got heat differential down to 25-27c and RH 45-48. Currently feeding 650ppm, broken down thus; 200ppm tap and AN cal/mag buffer. 250ppm of GreenAir Pt 1 & 3. Topped off with 200ppm of Pk 13/14 canazym added 1ml/ltr.

Final Ec 0.96 inc buffer. Water aerated de-& re gassed, brought upto air ambient temp thats RO & Tap combi. The reason is for using tap water buffer is simple, "Clorine" is essential for cell formation, but aint put in any pre bought nutes, due to "Volatility" but water company's chelate it. making it available to the Dames. The result is more powerful fruit formation. Also in Tap water, "Un-Bonded Calcium carbonate, & Magnesium" why pay for it when it's in Tap water ??...

Did complete 4 plain Ph'ed water flushes, on 4 different Dames, to check the "Ec Of Run Off"......... was very surprised at the findings. The Run Off Ec was 1.05. That is 0.09 above feed Ec !!..... showing the low nute input early on has delivered dividends. The Run off Ph was 6.8. Bang on the Fruitification Ph needed in the soil matrix. Soil temp 19-22c. In addition i have been watering plain Ph'ed (6.0) water 2 days per week, helping the dames to "Use Up" any retained salts in the root matrix.

And helping to pull back down the soil Ph, keeping it in the range 6.5 to 6.8 superb outcome. have hit the Orange dames 3 times with 100ml each of "Sprite" delivered neat direct to soil, washed in with feed. Fructose/lactose/Galactose & Palm Sugar "Carbo Boost" you cant beat it for Trich formation provocation. And "Beneficials" stimulation to release sugars to fruit.

They still have 10-14 days to convert Pk into sugars !!......... and fill out the bottoms of those 14" colas structures. Just started to show 3mm tip burn, but no "Tips Down" from pushing to hard. I have hit the nute "Sweet Spot" with these Orange dames for sure. The canes are already bearing the brunt of the weight of these fruits De Orengi.

I am certainly pleased i wont have to go much further into the summer temp rise, with these OHS Dames, as they are peeking around now. And RH & VPD are bang on atm.

Very pleased with these as we approach the final 10 days fruit formation, and 2 have started to finish early at wk 12, and are sucking back mobile elements atm into a finish. here are the dames Wk12 6wk fruiting. And they are 'Fruity" a Gorgeous Bouquet in the space just after light on, from these Dames...... Tuti Fruit Tropicana. OHS >>
