Intake noise

Hi people, need some help or ideas to stop the swooshing noise that can be heard outside house at front.

I only use acoustic ducting

Air is pulled through airbrick

1.2x1.2x2m tent

1000w air cooled light

10" l1and 6"a1 rvk fans

2x 90l bubblers

Outside> ducting> 6"a1 rvk > ducting > icarus king size 1000w air cooled reflc> ducting > reducer> 10" L1 rvk in grow room

Noise only happens with 10 inch on at the same time with the 6" cant hear noise but temps go too high so will need the 10" on through out lights on

Has/ does anyonw have the same problem?

Any fixes?

Thanks

Hi mate, sounds like you are trying to force too much air thru the air brick,

I think your only way out is to enlarge the intake, difficult to do I guess..?

Hope you get it sorted

Thanks stu

Yeah just that . . Its difficult to do without and are there bigger air bricks that can be bought.

I was thinking to intake from loft but from searching sites people say it gets too hot in summer in loft

Dont know what to do

the actual hole on the inside is about a 4" hole and 6" is taped around to the wall.

Any more ideas or suggestions out there?

either more surface area or pull less air with the fans, thats about all you can do without relocating the intake entirely

I have the same size tent with 2 x 400w hps not cool tubes so the heat will probably be about the same as your 1000w with cooltube? I use a 6" extraction and a 6" opening for passive intake. 2 x 6" fans inside the tent. Temps and air flow are spot on. Wouldnt get away with this in summer so would use cooltubes and still 6" passive. The accoustic ducting makes all the difference.

If you have another air brick or a window or something you can put a y on the ducting so your pulling the air from 2 locations has worked a treat for me in the past
