Best Ever Canna Chocolate Brownies

This is a recipe from bbc goodfood which is seriously chocolatey and good for masking the bitter taste of the cannabutter. The only modification I made was to add some vanilla extract for extra masking.

Step 1 - make cannabutter as per sticky on this forum

My trim consisted of green poison, cream caramel and killer skunk. I decided to blitz it for a few seconds in a food processor before simmering with the butter & water for about 90 minutes.

Not sure how my yield compares to other people's but I was disappointed with 145g from the original 250g block.

Step 2 - make the brownies

Melt 185g of cannabutter (I made mine up by adding normal butter) with the same amount of best dark chocolate . I used G&B 85% stuff; expensive but best for taste. I also added 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract at this point. Allow to cool to room temp.

Sieve 85g plain flour with 40g cocoa powder (I used G&B again) into a bowl. In another bowl whisk 3 eggs with 275g golden castor sugar on full speed for 5-10 minutes until the run-off from the blades leaves peaks in the surface for a second or so.

Add the chocolate and butter mix and fold in gently until mixed. Re-sieve the flour and cocoa into this and fold in again. Don't overdo as you want to retain as much air as possible in the mixture.

Chop up 100g milk chocolate and add to the mix. Line a baking tin with greaseproof paper and bake for about 30-35 minutes gas mark 4. Allow to cool and cut into smaller pieces. If you find the base is still a bit soft, flip it over and back in the oven for 5 mins or so.

Can be kept in the freezer for a month or an airtight container for two weeks.

Hi MW, thanks for posting this recipe. They're yummy. :yep:

This was also my first time making canna butter. I ended up putting in 14g of purple Frisian Dew and a few g's

of bubble hash into a 250g butter, over a double boiler for an hour or so, giving it the odd mashing(it'll get

it's own back later). I ended up with around 150g of CB.

For the brownies, I used 50g's and the dose is strong, yet comfortable. I had one at 10am, then another at 4pm,

and it's a surprisingly rushy come up, similar to clean MDMA or Liberty caps.

It's years since I last munched any THC and you easily forget how different the buzz is.

There's a psychodelic edge that you just don't get by smoking (becoming 11-hydroxy-THC produced by the liver).

Made my first ever cannabis recipe today.

This is fudge brownie but it came out more like space cake brownie. I have eaten 2 bits and am waiting to see if I can tell :D

I have ordered a coffee grinder but didn't want to wait so used a mortar and pestle to grind up the bud and it worked really well. :yep:
