anyone got any ideas what could be used as a nitrogen top dressing? or would liquid seaweed be alright for plants planted directly into the ground and not in pots? just thinking the liquid seaweed wont do much dunno tho I maybe wrong

 

seen some people use comfrey as a mulch/top dressing but im thinking thats just gonna bring in the slugs, im after something dry n processed from a store

Yes mate I often use it as a soil drench..you could knock up some nettle tea a bit higher in N than comfrey if that's what your after..

Dried blood is just nitrogen 14-0-0 

Vitax is the one I have. 
Non organic you would be looking at sulphate of ammonia.
