  2. Hi Netherlands consults businesses on recreational cannabis experiment The Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport opened a public consultation process, asking for feedback on the proposed rules for a “controlled cannabis supply chain experiment,” also called wietexperiment (weed experiment) by authorities. At the end of August, 10 Dutch municipalities with 79 coffee shops were selected to have access to a legal supply of recreational marijuana for the first time. The program, though modest in scope and magnitude, will create some business opportunities to supply participating coffee shops. The online consultation will conclude Nov. 12. The consultation is specifically targeted at: Potential growers. Coffee shop owners in the participating municipalities. Authorities involved in the experiment. The draft documentation suggests restrictive packaging with warning signs, intended to be “largely uniform and unattractive,” will be used with the goal being to neither encourage nor promote use. Coffee shops will need to provide an information leaflet containing health warnings with each unit. The quality requirements appendix includes information on mandatory testing for aflatoxins, heavy metals and microorganisms, which should be absent or below certain levels. The appendix does not include any mention of levels of pesticide residues. The main document detailing how the experiment would work once launched can be found here. More information about the recreational cannabis experiment can be found here. https://mjbizdaily.com/netherlands-consults-businesses-on-recreational-cannabis-experiment/ Bongme
  3. Hi Dutch government rebrands country 'The Netherlands' to sever 'Holland' link to red light district and cannabis cafes The Telegraph Dutch government will overhaul its international branding strategy, dropping the name “Holland” and replacing it with "The Netherlands", the country’s real name. The rebrand is an effort to move away from undesirable associations with Amsterdam’s red light district and the country’s famous cannabis cafes and to encourage exports and tourism. The government, the tourism industry and business groups have signed up to the public relations push, which will begin later this year. “It has been agreed that the Netherlands, the official name of our country, should preferably be used,” a spokeswoman for the Dutch ministry of foreign affairs said. The Netherlands, rather than Holland, will feature prominently on promotions for the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Rotterdam next May. The national football team will only be referred to as The Netherlands as will the Dutch team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020. North and South Holland are regions of the Netherlands on the Western Coast. The region was ruled by the Counts of Holland from the 10th to the 16th century and later formed the most influential part of the Dutch Republic. The Netherlands, meaning the low countries, was created after Napoleon’s defeat at the Battle of Waterloo more than 200 years ago, but Holland has been used to describe it ever since. The foreign affairs spokeswoman said the rebrand would modernise the image of the Netherlands to present it as an “open, inventive and inclusive” country. She said: “What is special is that agreement has now been reached with relevant parties from both the government, Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions and private organisations including top sectors and the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers about the image of the Netherlands that we want to present to the rest of the world in a substantive and unambiguous manner.” Up to 42 million people are expected to visit the Netherlands every year by 2030, an increase from the 18 million visitors last year. The new approach, it is hoped, will encourage tourists to visit other areas of the country than just Amsterdam. In May, the Dutch tourist board said it was stopping active promotion of Amsterdam, amid concerns there were too many visitors to the city. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/10/04/dutch-government-rebrands-country-netherlands-sever-holland/ Bongme

  5. figured id put this here for anyone interested in saving themselves some ££ and a bit of diy, most of us will have this stuff already around so its cheap basic diy at its finest i already had everything for the scrog net only had to buy the glue for the glue gun which is a couple quid. i made it using very simply... 4x 1.2m bamboo sticks from wilko(to go into a 1.2m tent, adjust size to suit others) twine/string(a lot) glue gun+ a good few sticks of glue and some good time stringing it up all you do is overlap slightly the bamboo into a square frame, glue it together with lots of glue, flip it over once dry and glue the other side also, then you just string up and cut/tie your string to desired shape(wonky bamboo will affect the spacing a little as you see from mine),i went around and glued the tied ends of the string to the frame to stop them moving. and there you will have a extremely flexible scrog net with frame. Bucket ultrasonic humidifier/fogger a 14L bucket from wickes .99p ultrasonic atomizer/fogger with frame + plug about £16 (cheap one,not much output, good for small tent or drobe etc, need higher output one for bigger spaces) polystyrene for float, your probably have some around like i did get your bucket and fill it with hot water from the tap(better mist),next just assemble the frame and put the fogger in and cut a hole in some thick enough polystyrene to fit around the top as a float, slightly smaller will help to wedge it in the hole you cut,put it in the bucket and watch it float, once its ok plug it in and your off. 6. Hi all, I am 4-5 weeks away from harvest and have my new clones well on the way in my tent. I plan to harvest my current grow then put the clones into the big room. I have a huge interest in giving SCROG a go and have the materials etc all ready. Something I'm not to sure about is the distance from the pot, to the net. Is there a good average or do I just lower it down until a few tops throught the net ( due to my clones being 12" tall by then ). As always any info really appriciated. GV.
