Welcome to my second go at the Sweet Seeds comp. As some of you will know,last year wasn't good in the Salty household so this will hopefully cheer me up a bit. I chose Gorilla Girl and Indigo Berry Kush as I grew them last time and really enjoyed them and the Sweet Z coz I've not done zkittles or any crosses of. It'll be a few days before I get goin as I need some compost. They will be grown out in my old 1.2m X 1.2m tent with a 600w adjustable ballast and my old parabolic shade..in 6ltr airpots which will be here in the next week. I've no real plan as such and I'll just take it as it comes and hopefully end up with a nice stash of quality buds to smoke when I'm out fishing. Hello there guys, posted in here abit but a little run down on my growing system... I use a wilma xxl 8 pot system, 3 x 600w hps. Just completed my 4th grow so still a novice always looking to improve. 1st grow I used; 18 litre square plastic wilma pots, 100% coco with 2 inch of clay balls Second grow I used 25 litre square plastic Wilma pots with 70/30 coco perlite 2 inch clay balls at the bottom. These plants tried to grow 2ft bigger than my room height so alot of tying down and super cropping was involved, extremely close to the hps and it was heatwave season so most of the grow was done at the 250w/400w setting. Resulted in 25oz, some burnt bud, very airy bud too. 3rd grow I ran Dinafems ocean grown cookies, 18 litre square Wilma pots, 100% 2%charge coco 2 inch clay balls at bottom. Also put a big tube heater down the middle of the Wilma to help root temps at lights out. This was by far my favourite grow which left me about 35oz of tight purple frosty nugs 4th grow I wanted to try and keep improving, I opted for 12 litre airpots with 70/30, I set up a drip ring using 4mm hose and t peices. I did however forget to put the tube heater down the middle of the Wilma, I do beleive light out temps was too cold and the pots definitely Contributed to the roots feeling it, all my plants hermied. I broke up the 70/30 into my compo bin last night and the roots inside the airpots was pretty impressive tbh, when I used my square Wilma plastic pots majority of the root mass is at the walls and the floor of pot where as the airpots it's throughout the whole pot and alot of them! So what I've gathered knowledge wise I want my 5th grow to be the best yet! I've had my best yeild results from the 18l square plastic pots with tube heater using 100% but I would like to give fabric pots a try. I will use the drip ring as the feed is evenly distributed into the coco. Any little tips or methods you guys use or acquired through your experiences? If I did try fabric pots, what size would you recommend if 18l plastics are my preferred size. Do you use clay balls at bottom in fabric pots? Also how do you Wilma users keep those pots toasty? I have a intake box with oil rad and that 1x 1.5m tube heater.. Could do with a couple degrees higher for those cold mornings tho, another tube heater maybe? I've not re read what I've wrote hope it makes sence.

Hi everyone! I'm just about to start my first ever grow, Auto blackberry Kush, as I've heard it's a good beginner strain, I'm certainly a beginner!! I have a couple of things I am confused about and wondered if any of you guys might be able to help shed any light please (Setup) I'm using 2 x 11 litre airpots in a 70x70x140 growtent Marshydro 300 wat led 2 x 6 inch clip fans A rhino hobby 6 inch extractor fan connected to the carbon filter 2 x 11 litre Airpots (Nutrients) Canna Rhizotonic Canna A+B Canna Flush (Grow Medium) Canna Coco natural/Perlite I'm confused about how much water and also what ratio of nutrients to add to the water too, I've seen various answers to this question, but I suppose it all relates to grow medium and pot size etc...(i'm using 11 litre airpots) Also I'm unsure if I should keep the clip fans running all the time (even when the LEDs are turned off - I'm going with 18/6 light schedule) I'm also assuming I should keep the carbon filter and extractor running constantly throughout the grow? Sorry if these are dumb questions and I've missed something obvious! Any advice or help would be very much appreciated Thanks guys!

ok folks stand back make way for mr billy big bollocks and his book of billy bullshit ..now then lets get a few things out of the way from the off ,ive seen the quality of the other competition entrants ,coys ,sweets4my sweets ,blackpool bouncer yes ive seen them ..you perfectionists you ..and i have to say this diary is in no way in competition with you guys ...theres no way your going to be able to yield as much as me ,itll never happen im a kilo per branch minimum kinda guy ..and im prepared to use every tactic known to jorge cervantes to try and get that yield down into the region you guys will be at ,otherwise it just wouldnt be fair would it ..ive also decided to nip in a bit earlier than hip hip ..simply cos he got a much nicer camera and a steadier hand ..right next thing ..i fully expect a one star rating from a couple of people ..fire away when ready chaps .. thirdly but mainly ...sweet seeds ...you guys fuckin rock ..cant believe how many seeds over the years you guys have offered up for us grower folk ,top work fellas and its an honour to do another grow competition ..just remember im no good at flying and i dont have a passport so dont worry bout first prize ..nice ,cheers .. ok the pleasantries have been dispensed with ..now let me explain the title of the diary that is about to commence ... i dont have space ,but i have a plan and this plan will unfold in unusual ways .. first up the grow will be in three waves ,each wave different in some way the first wave will be one seed of ice cool auto ,one of cream caramel and one of cream mandarine they will be grown at first in 4inch mesh pots with wicks using miracle grow enriched coco ..fire away if you want to bitch about miracle grow but i wont listen ive made me mind up on this ,being as its enriched with enough food for 6 months all ill have to do is add a little bloom when required ,i dont plan on using cal/mg or anything else ..just the coco and growers ark bloom .. they are started in a flooded small tiny tiny tent with a 34watt cfl in ,the first wave once at the required size will then be repotted into 3litre pots with wicks and placed under 12/12 in the main tent ,the reason for 12/12 cos theres other stuff flowering in there , the second wave will then be started using the same mesh pots and repeat for a third ,thus ensuring a staggered harvest and hopefully the simplest and easiest grow diary in the competition ,which then allows me more time to take photos and practise new voodooo ..so for now game on chaps ..game on ...fuckwittery fully allowed as always .. if i have to show testicle i will be warned . Hi everyone I've got a pile of massive 11l air pots at my disposal if I need them and was wondering if these are any good ? Or are they just gonna take an age to "root out" ? Are they only for coco really Or are they not really fit for purpose as I don't see anyone on here using them ?

Do airpots improve anything over the usual grow pot?
