Hello there! I'm wondering if you guys out there could chime in with your solutions to hard water fixes . It’s come to the point where I have to sort out my water situation,As I’m getting lock out with touchy strains . Any easy RO systems out there ? Maybe one that could fit to my shower ? Or one that can be fitted on only when I’m needing to use it? Any UK suggestions would be helpful!

Hi guys quick question. Should I worry about my water with nutrients PPM when growing in soil like Clover MPS? or does the soil buffer like it does with the PH levels.

Are there any long term trusted members that could help me out? Id like to send you my Extech CO250 co2 meter to put next to your co2 controller and see if they read the same PPM, as it’s expensive for a calibration and I’d like to know if it is working OK or whether I need to send it off. I’ll pay postage back and forth and be forever in your debt. mysticriver

Hello everybody I’m going for my 1st indoor grow and I’ve chosen to give DWC a go as I’ve always wanted to master hydro. ive got a 1.2 x 1.2 x 1.8m hydrolabs tent...which is bloody lovely to be honest ive got a 600w digital ballast light with parabolic hood Rhino pro carbon filter 125x300 Ruck hi power fan with a digital fan speed controller attached to that 70l oxypot xl reservoir (with two oxygen stones) I’ve got aquarium water heaters to maintain solution temperatures A fan to circulate air inside the tent I’ve gone with canna Aqua Flores and vega , and have canna start, cannazym, rhizotonic, and canna boost accelerator as my nutes....(I’m sure there is better out there in regards to cost and results but I thought I couldn’t go wrong with them for now) i got got some silver bullet roots too just to be safe ive got a PH and EC meter with buffer solution for both ive done a test run and generally my environment has been running at... LIGHTS ON; 24.5 degrees Celsius 50% humidity LIGHTS OFF; 16.5 degrees celcius 50% humidity IM REALLY HAPPY WITH THOSE RESULTS what do u guys and girls think???? I WILL BE TRYING TO WARM THE GROW ROOM UP WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE OFF DURING THE 1ST 3 WEEKS OF FLOWER THOUGH...AS IM AWARE THAT THIS CAN PREVENT UNNECESSARY STRETCHING OF THE PLANTS DURING THAT PERIOD...would anyone be able to confirm this to be true??? Just going off previous research on that one but thought it might be a valuable tip to any grower if it’s true...? my main area of concern is the PPM of my local rap water... an R/o system is a no go for now but if all goes well I will invest in one for future grows... anyway... the PPM of my rap water is 212ppm (after I’ve put it through a filter jug)... is this fine for seedlings? Baring in mind I wanted to add some cannastart to the seedling solution... And once I start early stages of veg...will this ppm level have too much of an affect to the amount of nutes I can add at one time? Or am I just worrying about nothing? My ph is 6.5 so I will probably need to adjust with ph down to get to around 5.7-5.8 and I’m aware that this will bump my ppm levels up too...? sorry for for the essay! And cheers for reading! Experts please feed me with ur knowledge Cheers

I’m currently on week 2 of flower with 6 stardawg girls. I’ve been using canna nutrients from the start and have been following the guide Almost exactly, I’m currently feeding at EC 1.7 but I’m reading that this is too high?? They seem to be happy but now I’m worried about bumping the EC up which is what the guide says to do as you get further into flower. Any tips or advise would be much appreciated

this is probably in the wrong area but it wont let me select a different category. ive been using plant magic old timer and my ppm is at 186 for my solution, this seems wrong, cause it should be getting 900 in flower right? my ppm pen isn't x10 cause ive checked other things that go up to 1000ppm and above. Please help!! this happened after a week of flushing cause i thought it was too much nitrogen,, turns out i been starving them and its a deficiency caused by one feed per week. (ive since found out plang magic should be used every watering) how can i raise my ppms to 900 if my solution is only 300 at most? shitloads of molasses? thanks in advance for the replies

So I have got away with it for years by just changing reservoirs once a week with one top up a week of fresh water and keeping an eye on PH. For once I have decided to want to know my nutrient strength. After doing a bit of research I have invested in a top of the range chinese ppm pen for £4.50, done a few tests and even if it were 10 to 20 ppm out which it isn't, I would still be in a safe zone. I went for the high end of nutrient measuring pens cos of funds and because I saw a video with a top guy saying about current trends with regards to measuring your nutrient strength, as in must have kit etc and what can we sell um next? Using Spock and Holmes logic It seems to me that it just comes down to numbers, with CF and EC you have low numbers and with ppm you have high numbers.....Fascinating..... , Which means when using a ppm scale you have a lot more rope to play with and stand a less chance if any at all of making a mistake. When I used to grow other crops I also favoured Fahrenheit opposed to celsius for the same reason, which I still do,..... call me retro, some folk do. Elementary my dear Watson, more rope, more dope. Gunna stick with ppm, write down the numbers the pen displays /mls per litre as a guide and maybe buy a better one down the line, or another one of these when it feks up. It's weed Jim but not as we know it, not as we no it, not as we know it, It's gange Jim but not as we know it, not as we know it, Captain, There's truncheons in the hydro shop, hydro shop, hydro shop There's truncheons,in the hydro shop, but do we really need one?
