  1. Hi guys, a little background as to why I'm doing this. Last year i got picked for dinafem * intense grow out comp but i had to had to quit 2 wks in due to health reasons. I felt crap about this so i thought id sponsor a comp here. Plus i got a big poker win so im happy to be doing this. Ok, the good bit.... Prizes.... 1st wins 5 pack of dinafem og cookies, any 2 1L bottle combo from intense nutrients range and a years subscription with subbie seeds. 2nd wins a 5 pack of dinafem blueberry cookies and a years subscription with subbie seeds. 3rd wins a years subscription with subbie seeds. Usual uk420 comp rules apply, 3 goes for lifers, 2 for years subscribers and 1 go for normal members. All entrants must be members as from yesterday. All you have to do is post in this thread to enter, and id ask if you would post a message of encouragement or congratulations in next months cotc comp. Comp ends on 5th August at 11.59 pm and winners will be selected by google random number generator. I hope that @Dinafem-Mark and @Intense Nutrients Matt can find it in their hearts to forgive me.... and thanks to @Joolz for allowing me to do this. So come on guys get posting!! Whats not to like!!....

Went to top dress SOP so took some pics..some mighty wonder fuck. The structure of this plant is so strong. The bottom branches are horizontal but solid. If you tug one of the tips of the branch, the whole plant moves as one. Never grown anything like it..peace

    go BIG or go home

Hello there everyone. ive been growing out Dinafem beans since i started growing, and honestly, can hand on heart tell you that ive yet to be dissapointed in any of the strains that i have done. Just lately my growing has been going off a bit, lost my mojo, gone a bit stale, ive not been as enthusiastic as usual about my favourite hobby, and have had more than my fair share of dissasters...just have a look at my outdoor threads, or my breeding fiascos, as usual. So ive decided that what i need is a challenge......... a real challenge............ a real big challenge.........real BIG Soooooo, ive decided that for my next grow, im going to try and beat my previous personal best, and im gonna try and get ONE KILO of dried buds,.............. from a single plant........ Yes, you heard it first here, ......the kilo challenge is on...ive said it now, so i better make it happen. my previous personal best was 760 grams from one, but this time we are going big or going home. Growing huge plants indoors isnt as straight forward as just veging them for ages and letting rip, these will be dependant on timings for everything, toppings, lighting and nutrient schedules and environment need to absolutely bang on. Any mistakes can prove costly... The strain choice is Dinafems BIG Kush, a strain which ive grown previously , which surprised me in just how massive it got, and how good the bud was from it (the two are normally not exclusive). Every one of my mates who smoked it agreed that it was a belter, and it improved massively after a good cure. Dinafem Mark has very generously agreed to front the beans for this adventure, and im going to try my damnedest to make the KILO happen. its been a long standing ambition of mine, just to see if i could do it...fingers crossed etc we will be popping the beans as soon as they land and vegging for about 10 weeds in the rdwc. i tell you now, this is gonna be EPIC....there will be more info in the diary, so keep yer eyes peeled for the diary starting Go BIG or go home, as Guy Martin would say.... Trees for life, as i would say

    Friday Seed Giveaway

Evening UK420, @Joolz has been kind enough to let me do some seed giveaways so this is the first in a series of Friday giveaways to raise the spirits and have a lil bit of fun. The Seeds are from my own stash and I have grown a few out so there will be a few half packs. I hope everyone is up for a bit of fun and the competition will be run in the usual way. 1 go for Members, 2 for Subscribers and 3 for Lifetime Subscribers winners will be chosen by random number generator and the comp will close midnight on Thursday the 23rd of July 2020. @Joolz has the seeds and will post them out to the winners. Anyone posing more than allowed will be disqualified. The first lot of seeds are ........ Brothers Grimm Killer Queen x 6 Killer Queen was originally created by BCGA breeder Vic High. Vic pollinated the Airborne G13 clone with a Brothers Grimm Cinderella 99 male. The progeny showed variation as would any F1 hybrid, however they all reliably expressed amazing, fruity flavors and aromas - ranging from black cherry to Hawaiian punch. We decided to recreate this fantastic hybrid using our selected Cinderella 99 male, so that the masses have the chance to grow this cult classic. Also Surefire Seeds Blazing Blues x 5 (Feminised) Blazing Blues is a build up of a Skunk#1 pheno called Blues also known as Livers which has been a close guarded UK clone only for the best part of 20 years. A lot more potent than Dj Shorts Blueberry with a serious chemical blueberry punch. Hit with the reversed pollen of the Casey Jones in the hope of adding a lot more trichome coverage without compromising on taste and hopefully adding more couchlock to the high. Good luck!!! Lil d.

Having a moisture problem in the tunnel not all the time but even so ive added plastic fencing from one end to the other on both sides so the plants aint touching the plastic,, im hoping the stretch has finished now so i dont need to add any more higher up.. Ive had to turn off the misses poxy led lights shes got round the garden as i think its effected the late flower of the killer oranges and the golden lemons but everything else has been fine.. Ive already butchered everything from the bottoms but its looking like i might need to do a bit more thinning out theyve been covered over since the 25th june so nearly at the halfway mark the smells not to bad but i have smelt it out the front a couple of times

Vicfirth / Psychosis x Sage x 6 (REG) These are subbies seeds that I have grown out the female I found was a squat plant that was slow to start flowering but then at week 6 swelled really well and frosted up. Crossing the Divide

Welcome to my next foray into LED growing and living soil. I grow in a Budbox 160x75x75 with a @diyleduk Scope 220 V1 and have a 100l pot of living soil with blumat drippers to keep the moisture levels in check. I use a AC Cloudline T4 fan connected to a Mountain Air 4” Filter for extraction and passive intake. I also have some Buddies that diyleduk kindly sent to me to try out but I am struggling to install them in a way where I can have the driver outside the tent hmmmmmm This diary will cover my adventures in crossing a Psychosis bx2 male with a Psychosis bx2 female and three Smile females within my pot of living soil. I dont intend to seed the whole grow just a branch of each plant, I am in no way an experienced breeder just a pollen chucker that would like to see what results I get. Also being my last seeds of these strains I hope to preserve them in some way. I started this grow a while ago and planted my last 3 Smile seeds from @oldtimer1 and my last 3 Psychosis bx2 from @ratdog . I hit lucky and got 3 Smile females and 2 PsBx femails and a male. The best looking PSBX female the male and the three Smile females got cuts taken whilst I finished up my last grow and the seed plants were disposed of. The female cuts are now in the pot and have been for the last week, they are just starting to find there feet and have greened up as they were held back in small pots. I have started to flower the male in my small 90x0x60 veg tent under a 65w @diyleduk veg board it’s 5 days in flower in a 3 l pot of plagron batmix and will be fed just fishmix . So here are some pics to bring us up to date..... They are the cuts I took and now they are in the living soil pot..... This is the boy I got with some double serrations going on and his balls that are developing So that’s where we are at at the moment, I have made sure that the pot is well watered and the bottom of the pot is damp to the touch as @icki keeps hinting that this is what should be happening. I also have made some hash recently for my “rainy day” stash so would like to share that with you too.... From right to left is Sift, Bubble and some hash I picked up last December. That’s it for now folks. Hope you enjoy the ride!! peace lil d.

  13. Hi guys Well the plants have been harvested as of yesterday , big fan leaves taken off and then left to hang for a dry trim in a couple of weeks. Really happy with how everything has turned out and there did seem to be a lot of flower there for 720w so will be interesting come dried and manicured to see what the actual figures where....never been to bothered about weight to tell you the truth as long as the quality is there and man o man the quality is there....these Scopes seem to have done the biz indeed... Bit of a photo dump now guys as i was playing around with different lenses and light exposures Footloose... Lemon Lime Pie... So thats it for this cycle under the Scope V2 220w fixtures and so far with what i have seen im super happy with what they have thrown down...im sure once i have them turned the correct way the light distribution will be far better and consistent. Great fixtures @diyleduk Thanks for looking folks Farmer G

  14. I've returned cap in hand to humbly apologise to Adam @diyleduk. I was a disgruntled customer after purchasing the Zeus 600w pro. I acted like a dick and abused Adam after he rightly took the piss a bit. I would expect them to be slightly larger, but now understand that's more than likely my fault. I'm going to try this in a 4x4 space soon and think it will be awesome in there. Once more Adam, sorry for being a twat, and you were a gent about the whole thing.

Latest pics of mine, quite a range of strains and plant out dates... The Serious 6's and Lemonade OG seem to be looking the best to me. The '???' are either RGSC's where i lost/fucked up the labelling or from a bag of regulars i collected from an unknown plant a few yrs ago. I've no idea if they are going to be any good or not. *the 'mango sapphire' is actually a creme caramel.

Ladies and gentlemen... The advantage of heavy clay soil... Yep, that's right, clay DOES have it's advantages These plants have not been watered once since watering in (2-3L per plant) on plant out... I'm in one of the driest parts of the UK.... While it's probably safe to assume they'd be better off with more water, they don't seem too fussed to me...

    Cave of Collaboration

hello and welcome to The Cave, This will hopefully be a record of a successful grow but, I'm promising nothing more than a really good go from a crazy old bear. First the Space(s): I will update each space as we reach it (veg and flower are also separate) Nursery is a small cupboard with mish mash lighting and clip on fans for air (not ideal but it is only a nursery) The lighting for the seedling stage is 1/2 a T5 4 tube (half is fookeded) Nutrients and compost : Thanks to @Intense Nutrients Matt for kindly helping out so I could run the full organix range on this run! Top man So, I'll be using ; Granules Runzyme Foundation Grow Bloom These will run according to schedule, I will make any adjustments as we go but from what I have seen that won't necessarily be required... we shall see. Compost: Clover Multi-Purpose (on it's own for seedlings) Wormcast Kelp Meal Dolomite lime Ecothrive charge Other information: Water - my water is horrendous out of the tap (very mg heavy) I amend it with Canna Mono Calcium to a ratio of 3.5 : 1 Cal : mg I add this information as I get asked a lot about water and I hope this will be a good reference point for future enquiries. Ok thats it for the intro on space etc .... heres the pics, 2 of each got dropped in for a soak and all came up! Out of the gates and we have 4 runners Cheeky shot to show non destructive seed removal Runty PM on the right was the last to show and has been a tad slow in getting herself going but its only very early and everyone is alive!!! and now , in keeping with bear necessities... We have the "Pandometer" for measuring level of excitement Week 1 rating is .......... back in a week to see if its getting the Panda up SSAS (Stay Safe and Stoned) Obie

    Friday Seed Giveaway No 3

Good evening UK420 Here we go for giveaway no3 !! Rules are as always ..... To enter just post in this thread. 1 go for Members, 2 for Subscribers and 3 for Lifetime Subscribers winners will be chosen by random number generator and the comp will close midnight on Thursday the 6th August 2020. @Joolz has the seeds and will post them out to the winners. Members must have joined as of yesterday 30th July 2020 or beforehand. Anyone posting more than allowed will be disqualified. Now for the fun bit ..... Seeds for this giveaway will be :- Serious Seeds / AK47 x7 (REG) This easy to grow plant is one of the most popular. It is of medium height and produces good yields quite quickly. Extremely STRONG odor and smoke. The name was given not out of any idea of violence, but more in association with the one hit wonder that the smoke is. Quality without compromise makes AK suitable for commercial grows or home use. These plants have a short flowering period for a sativa, producing compact, not too leafy buds that gleam with a coat of resin crystals. Surefire Seeds / OriginalDawg F2 x 10 (REG) I don’t know much about this strain tbh what I do know is it’s a cross of Original Diesel x Trestardawg f2. Good luck everyone and don’t forget if you want more chances get subscribing as there are a few more giveaways after this!! http://www.uk420.com/boards/index.php?/store/category/1-subscribe-to-uk420com/ peace!! lil d.

    L.E.D to BELIEVE...

And then I emptied the lot to separate the fluff out All the fluff... After that it was all weighed and the proper buds put back into the jars with the fluff left in a bag Giving me a grand total of 457g of proper bud & 95g of fluff/air buds... I seriously could not believe it myself and obviously checked the scales & checked again to make sure it was right and it was and I’m like WTF!!! @tokenroll if it was a guess the weight I think you just won mate Basically the buds are so dense compared to the HPS grown buds that I can fit about 10 oz in each jar instead of the usual 7oz, the buds are rock solid. So I’ll already answer a few questions I think I’ll probably get asked... Did I turn up the lights? No they stayed at a total of 270w and no there wasn’t any chance they got turned up by accident only the highlight board has a dimming knob and it was well out of the way at the top of the tent. Is this really the first time I’ve ever grown with L.E.D? Yes Do I have a fair bit of growing experience? Yes but I’m no pro What is my highest previous yield from HPS lighting? 1.15 GPW with a 1000w DE Did I use any booster of any kind? No none at all Is the bud properly dry & trimmed? Yes it’s too dry if anything and yes I do a proper trim job I’m quite fussy like that. Am I gonna try and do this again? Without a doubt So it goes without saying...yes I’m a Believer..,

  45. From today. Still no sign of flowering from the Purple Freeze auto's. About 5 weeks left on the Euforia. Looking a tad hungry these, nothing that a dressing of guano and a heavy compost mulch wont sort. All the others got lots of fresh compost around the base too. No signs of flower although the Frozen Grape Kush look like they are gearing up to start, will be the earliest out the early photo's Auto Euforia The Purple Freeze's nearest The trained raised bed, Early loves on the left, Cheese Graper and Essex Gold far right Cheese Graper Early Love x Early Grape starting to show their sativa traits, lovely looking leaves. They are quite small but like a little Lst gro And the trusty spot, years of adding all kinds of organic nutrients really shows through. The sweet tai is a little shaded from the massively tall freezewarps but will be much later flowering so will get lots of light later on, Frozen Grapes at the front right, bit of a leaf problem but no biggie, generally healthy Sweet Tai, looking more like an early skunk pheno, time will tell! Frozen grape View from back, Freezewarp left and the one bent over. 6ft already. I have collected a small amount of pollen from my durban x forest dream cross and it will be pollinating those warps for a sativa extraganza, hope the pollen is viable And a killer kush x early grape. All the late ones in the bags dug into the ground are doing well too

  46. Greeting fellow swamp monsters - Update time ! So this plot consists of Lemon Drizzle , Freezeland + lemon og and IBL S1. These girls where planted out in on the 7 and 8th th of May. The actual growth in 3 months is impressive. The plot has had a mixed bag of weather recently. Last week was wind and rain with a some 20- 30 mph wind. So i was walking in expecting some carnage. Each time i arrive i see the swamp growing in size. Its actually quite hard to take decent close up photos because of the height of the plants and fact is a freaking jungle down here. This is what i was greeted to. Some of the plants looked abit bedraggled but nothing really to worry about. I noticed two of the Lemon Drizzle had broken branches. This is normal after a storm. I was just pleased to see them all standing. I took the opportunity to check each bag and its supports and i think i timed it perfectly with the larger supports. The swamp bags them selves are holding out for now and i'm generally happy with the strength of them . On closer inspection the main soil mass and roots is rock hard and strong. I can't wait to have a look at the soil when the harvest is done Each plant is easily above the 4 foot support pole. This is getting abit mental now and harder to manage. As these little plants are now turning into Christmas trees - I'm praying they all start flowering soon as the larger they get the harder they are to maintain. I can also for time ever say I've never seen stems as large as on any outdoor plants in July. These photos don't quite do them justice. The IBL looked like they need a N boost as they are just beginning to flower and look a little hungry. They probably used up the existing N in the soil mix so i'll need to give them a top feed with the fish oil nutrient. These girls seem to grow long and thin. I noticed they display the slightly pink flower of DFG which is great because i hoping to get some funky phenos from this batch. When ever i go to the swamp i'm always abit jumpy and i never stay around for long. I tend to get abut paranoid at this time of year due to the possibility of getting caught or ripped. Hence why i'm trying to keep my head down and stay out of dodge. Lemon Drizzle is fast growing beast that does well in veg in a swamp environment. From what i've seen from other diaries on here. This could be the new DFG. Brush against her and you get this amazing hydro smelling citrus smell that smells delightful This swamp has been quite damp for the majority of the summer but i noticed after 3 days of solid sun all the surface water has evaporated. The surrounding vegetation is really overgrown and serves as camouflage to my naughty swamp garden. I'll have a trim back in my area of the swamp before harvest just to free up some space and improve the airflow abit, but for the moment it provides the perfect cover.

    L.E.D to BELIEVE...

High everyone...hope so! Well I gave her the chop the next day after I said I would in the previous post. I wanted to take her down in one piece and it was a right mission for me to saw beneath the coco to get to the single stem buried underneath...... But I got there in the end and then it was just a simple case of tying some string on and hanging her upside down I didn’t remove any of the leaves what so ever because of the incoming heat wave to slow the dry down as much as possible. Pre chop... R.I.P Zoot... The little air bud I left on even swelled up and had a bit of density to it even though it was so far from the led and had a thick canopy above it KILLER!!! SKUNK... An earlier pic I had forgotten I had of when I was potting her on from the 10l pot to a 20l pot. You can barely see the coco she was that rootbound... Chopped & Hung... At this point I was fairly happy, I did have a bit more fluff on the bottoms than expected and realised I should of trimmed even more off than I already had! But apart from that the only hurdle to get over now was the incoming heatwave. After approx 5 days and temps eventually reaching 28c she had already started to look like this.. But luckily enough the humidity stayed fairly high and after the heatwave temps settled down and although not ideal I still managed to get to 2 weeks without it drying to a crisp... The bud quality overall is really nice but as mentioned earlier from what I can see I did end up with a fair bit of fluff. A few shots to show what I mean... That little air bud all dried...might get a whole vape out of this I haven’t got time to start trimming straight away so after cutting all the branches off into a large brown paper potato bag they go which is then placed into a large vacuum seal bag to prevent to much further drying out before I start the trimming... So it’s just the final trim to do now and then I’ll report back with the final yield and my thoughts/findings so far on these LED grow lights Thanks for the interest and support my fellow 420ers I’ve enjoyed doing this little diary although I’ll hopefully invest in an iPad or something to make my life easier to do future posts. Will update as soon as the trim is done

  49. Hey fellow Sherbinski`s Veg day 21, plus pot-up. Things really moving along great this last week, got their usual feed a day ago, an potted them both up today. Into their new clover compost an 9 litre air-pots, so will be giving them at least 14 days to root out properly as i always go 1 litre air-pot to 9 litre air-pot step-up. I have to say this clover compost is the best textured compost I`ve seen, i was gonna add some perlite but always remember`d blackpoolbouncer saying it not needed, so i ended up just adding a little course potting up sand instead (just for peace off mind, but after watering them just now, it probably not needed), an some worm humus as these two strains are both heavy feeders on their strain description an I`m seeing this too, an i also put just a sprinkle off FBB to cover calcium. Water`d in with just water an organic seaweed extract. So a @blackpoolbouncerfor recommending Clover MP compost. San Bacio Gelato veg day 21 First pic is to show the weeks progress, an the next two are to show after pot-up. I always plant them down into the new pot, more stem below soil level. Sunrise Sherbert Veg day 21 First pic is to show the weeks progress, an the next two are to show after pot-up. Same process with this girl although i planted it a little lower than intended, but i wasn`t digging it up again, will be fine. Cheer`s for having a look.
