Glad all is ok, I have a smoke detector hanging inside my grow room wich is linked to two smoke detectors that are hanging in front of the door of my bedroom and a fire extinguisher (powder) next to my bed.    In the future I want to buy one a those fire extinguish grenades that you hang above your lamp, they go off if the room reaches a certain temp.    Just curious, what kind of brand clip-on fan were ye using?

Taken to extremes many things can effect the mental health. One of the biggest, it appears, and it's an area I've been taken an interest in recently, is early life trauma (ACE's, they call them in a pivotal study). Have a read of 'Adverse Childhood Experiences'

Blimey sounds like you were lucky there dude!    I have a RAM clip on, and I am running it through one of those dimmers shown above. I think I need to find an alternative, does anyone have any ideas at all?    Stay safe

Here is the information you require on how to easily upload pictures   Moreover I'm glad your OK. As a precaution I installed two smoke detectors not long after I built the grow. £10 for two basic Fire Angels seemed madness not to. One directly above the tent, one in the loft directly over the external extraction fan. But like you say you just expect these things to fail not catch fire. Another user had a similar experience with one of these cheap fan speed controller plugs      which hum really badly as you increase the resistance / lower the fan speed. Been very lucky, one of the only times you'll be grateful you need to get up for a piss. Hope the experience hasn't shaken you too much, I know what it's like when faced with 'what could have happened'   All the best @wtdafk
