@Dinafem-MarkThanks for the kind words dude, over the last few years I feel I have cracked this growing lark and after many years of trial and error I seem to be getting consistently good results, The LEDs are the icing on the cake.

A quick up date, the 3 x Dirty Larrys I have veging are still looking good, I have topped all 3 at the 3rd node and I am just waiting for them to show me what sex they are then I will pot up the females to 6 litre pots ready for flower, they don't look like they are going need much food, I haven't fed them yet.

I also put 4 more Dirty Larry seeds in wet paper towels, they germinated in 24 hrs and are now in compost and up and running, it looks like there should be no problems with germinating these as all mine have come up quickly so far.

  • 3 weeks later...

After a nice Xmas break I am back with some good news, I have a female Dirty Larry to put into flower in a couple of weeks time.

Its a pity the other two and the PS F2 turned out to be males, never mind, I have germinated another 4 so hopefully the Male/Female ratio will be more favourable this time around.

The plants seem to be very vigorous and sturdy looking. One thing to note is they were very slow to start growing vigorously again after I topped them, I think this may be because they were kept in small 1 litre pots until they showed sex.

After I potted the female up to a 6 litre pot she has put on a big spurt of growth, she looks sturdy, vigorous and healthy and I can’t wait to get her in the flower tent in a couple of weeks time.

@AsterionCheers dude, I will chopping a couple of plants over the next couple of weeks so that female should be in by the middle of January, after all the work and time I have put into this little project I hope she delivers the goods.

If anyone has the space I highly recommend having a bash at some pollen chucking, it’s very satisfying and exiting watching your own cooking growing into a nice looking healthy plant.

I found that only some Pineapple Skunk plants carried the fruity flavour. The others tasted of nothing at all. There is every chance that your male is not the right pheno. I usually use multiple male doners when faced with this problem. That way at least some of your seeds are fathered by a pineapple smelling pheno... also this increases variation in the offspring, which is better for selection sometimes... good luck - I hope your plants are killer!

@Grover SativaThats fine if you have loads of room and access to a load of seeds. I am a small hobby grower who planted 3 seeds from a pack of 5 one of which turned out to be a male, for a bit of fun I flowered it out and put a bit of pollen on some branches of my flowering plants.

I am just having a bit of fun chucking some pollen and not looking at doing any serious breeding. For the record the Male skunk plant was quite smelly in the veg tent so hopefully they will turn out ok, we will soon find out I guess.

@zabz Cheers dude, I can’t wait to see what they produce.

The female that I have has been in the 6 litre pot  for a couple of weeks veging under 100w of Quantum Board LEDs. Still looking very nice, thick sturdy branches and green and lush foliage.

I will have some free space in the flower tent when I chop The New this evening so I think I will put her straight in after that is out. Ideally another week of veg would be good but I am itching to see what she will produce so in she will go.

Cheers lads, I chopped The New late last night and put this lady straight in the flowering tent.

@golf.007Cheers for that info, I will look into it as I am not sure if mum or dad should be stated first.
