So turns out “Root Aphids” are now number 1 on my “Total Cunt” list and Thrips are a nice easy to control pest! Ffs!

Started thinking the thrips were back but after hunting and not finding any repeatedly! and leafs still going yellow I spotted some little white barstards mooching about in a  saucer when I lifted a pot out. Closer inspection of all 4 plants in the right bay showed them already in all 4 pots.

Was thinking I might just burn the Shed down and go for the insurance but as the jars are getting worrying low I’m gonna throw everything at them and see if I can scrape a few oz over the finish line. So far all 4 have been soaked in a bucket of diluted neem oil for an hour and now the pots are standing on a mix of straw and 5 different types of predators, next attack is going to be nematodes when they arrive :skull:. From what I’ve read there’s little hope of killing them all but I’m gonna give it a fucking good go or at least hold them of till I can chop a plant.

The bay of cunts! :wallbash:

Front left has taken the biggest hit and may well get binned this weekend as it’s looking pretty fooked

Real shame as she was looking so frosty for awhile

large.BC3638BF-F06A-484B-9301-61EA11182BD1.jpeg

But front right is looking beautiful still, fingers crossed I can get this one over the line

and then the madness which is really starting to stink up the place when you open the door

:smoke:

large.A1387CBD-BF1C-4CB6-9C47-41DE9C59E193.jpeglarge.225E2277-AE6D-4B4A-B865-42DAE2E29D38.jpeglarge.C8C03F64-4339-4F89-A456-A04330B8B6A9.jpeglarge.FF92A569-1B82-493C-A48C-C1702A421D44.jpeglarge.CAC84ACA-CC18-490A-81E5-AEDCF5AAB8D6.jpeg

No sign in here of the little barstards, but not to surprise as the last lot of predators have been breeding nicely in the bed

Peace out and death to the Aphids :boxing:

thanks for the love mate :yep:, I’d climb in and sleep if there was room

I seem to have kicked the shit out of them for now, haven’t seen a leaf turn yellow in a couple of days now. Doubt I’ve killed them all but the drowning followed by 1000’s of little hungry barstards turning up above and below the pots seems to have had an impact:skull:

when she comes down I’ll freeze her for when I’ve  finished trimming the rest, then get the bags out and make some hash again, love that stuff.

best

Evening all

Quick update on the girls, still no sign of the Root Aphid wankers so I’m starting to think I may have got off lightly only having one plant fooked over by them

Right bay first which is coming on nicely considering, still got one white widow looking beautiful and a “kush cake” and “dos si do” behind by a few weeks looking right on track

large.9F350EF7-6AC0-4668-8BB6-ABD2E471CAB1.jpeglarge.A1EF889D-42B2-4C2A-B09B-0BE298815101.jpeglarge.BF776C2F-72E9-4D0A-B59B-9725A4CE3D27.jpeglarge.F5298ABD-100B-467C-826E-DFDFEA5EFBB2.jpeglarge.E0A74DD9-A325-4B85-9A34-74ACCE2995F9.jpeglarge.D6ECEC0E-E3C9-4F1A-91A2-40B8088FCD83.jpeglarge.ACAF6DFF-73F1-487E-89A4-31A57FE30107.jpeglarge.82CBFD84-FF40-4B5C-AEFB-DDBC3AC2BA31.jpeg

Can’t wait to get to the white widow ready for toking, last time I had this was years ago in Amsterdam

large.2A8AEDC2-8961-422D-BAB3-FB43805F086A.jpeg

And then the living bed, which is living up to its name with the amount of worms in there and god knows what else :punk:

large.E59E2CA0-03EF-467D-B525-0285E0F87B15.jpeglarge.A8FD9554-4AB3-4A08-B325-D82914A07A82.jpeglarge.AF186C73-3C46-4E38-A057-604137A59F6C.jpeglarge.6C6F03DE-4B10-447F-AD61-C460ED2B6AFA.jpeglarge.5100771D-87D9-4C1E-ADA3-5E82029F5746.jpeg

starting to think I maybe running out of space ish , reckon I can grab a few more inch’s for the next grow but that’s it!

large.44745F0F-236A-47C1-B4E5-7082978960B9.jpeglarge.164356D2-E803-4644-ACA3-F9ED69451EA2.jpeglarge.FF92A569-1B82-493C-A48C-C1702A421D44.jpeglarge.CAC84ACA-CC18-490A-81E5-AEDCF5AAB8D6.jpeg

Still can’t quite believe how well this first grow has gone in the living bed just need to get them over the line now, so the dehumidifier is running on a controller keeping the humidity below 60 and I’ve crossed everything twice

The only real issue I’ve got now is I’m going on holiday in a couple of weeks which will be right around harvest time. But I’ve got a watering system all setup and running so what could possibly go wrong ffs! :g:

take it easy

Do love having a selection box of my very own treats

Been growing plants since I was a kid and been an engineer for 30 ish years, so think I may have had a head start. But still so much to learn  :yep:. Think that’s why I’m so interested in growing, the more I learn about how plants and soil work the more I want to understand what’s going on and what I can do to optimism/help the girls along :wassnnme:

Evening folks

Little pre-holiday update

Firstly shed update, decided I need to cut heating costs come the winter this year so added a living roof which is also keeping temps down nicely during the few hot days we’ve had.

So built a 4 inch frame straight on top of the felt then lined with a pond liner, shuttered all round, built frames on each side every 60cm up to the top of the apex to stop the soil slipping and to help hold water and then dumped a ton and a half of top soil and manure on top using a couple of buckets and a lot of “why the fuck did I decided to do this shit”. Also built an A frame inside to  help hold the weight :jester: (so far so good)

large.1175D8D9-C19B-44D4-B2B1-DAF15D614745.jpeglarge.4726BEFB-EBBD-406B-A04B-EB95F4DEF206.jpeglarge.FE817497-9C55-4BCF-8975-4AEB65606553.jpeglarge.E003811C-D8BC-4931-8EEF-5B7384CA755C.jpeg

planted a few things up there but mostly just chucked wild flower seeds which are going for it nicely.

anyway on to the girls :naughty:

large.7E5CF592-8A10-42F6-80AA-4587CBC40013.jpeg

Right sides still pushing on and still no sign of the little aphid cunts, decided to keep the white widow going that had taken a kickin as she seems stable and looks like she’ll make it to the end “just”

Only just a little off on height :wassnnme:

large.1A5DC01C-E257-465A-AC90-F50C743D93A6.jpeg

Blumats are all set and working correctly with a nice sneaky auto top up attached to a 100 litre tank in the shed and a dehumidifier running on a controller, so fingers crossed when I get back all is as sticky as I leave behind :yep:

TIMBER

Well it’s been about a year since I first popped a bean and I can’t believe how much I’ve learn’t and what I’ve just grown, many thanks to everyone on here for your help and the information that’s been freely shared

I’m still shit scared of mould after my first grow and with the heat that’s coming in the next few weeks I’ve decided to chop the lot as the girls are so big there blocking the air intakes and temps are already up to 29c in the bay, there also just starting to show a few amber trichs which is just how I like them.

Also had the little issue of not enough room to dry so my original tent is set up in the garage which holds around 20c even in hot weather and with a small dehumidifier on the go I’m keeping the humidity at mid 60’s , fingers crossed I can dry this lot and keep the mould at bay.

Anyway on with the chopping porn, pictures in no particular order as they get way to mixed up when I load them

No idea how much I’ll pull from this grow, theres a lot of fluff which will all be going for hash and in all honesty probably a lot of the good bud too as I’ll never get through this lot on my own :guitar:

Thanks for looking in and thanks for the help, @blackpoolbouncer. @FarmerPalmersNT And all the other I’m to toasted to remember :yep:
