Min tent size for 1 auto?

17 posts in this topic

Hi,

I want to put a single plant tent in my caravan (got electric and everything else and isn't a far drive from home) and i was wondering what the smallest size tent i would be able to use would be?

I will be doing LST training would this help in reducing the height of the tent?

I also need advice on a good carbon filter setup and a good light source, preferably one i could leave on 24/7 and won't light my caravan up.

I've looked into mars hydro but i don't know what size i would need

Growing here is my only option outside of my greenhouse so i want a set up to last the winter months and hopefully get good yields :)

Can you get a 60cm x 120cm x 180cm tent in there? I bought Marshydro tent and TS2000 light. I’ve got 3 autos on, but wish I had put in 6 :wallbash:

I'm building a box outta a 92l wham storage tub,  should fit 2 plants fine under leds with LST as ive done 2 in a modified pc case before! But I guess that's as I'm going for the stealth element, if you have somewhere you can put a tent I've seen some 60x60x60 that I've considered before, if your only doing 1 plant you could do a big one and lstor scrog it fine in that size

I wouldn't recommend a 60x60x60 you'd need some more height even with training it would be a pain in the arse also crap yield. I have a 60x60x140 for drying in and I think that would be perfect . Also id go for another brand I have a mars tent and it had loads of light leaks but if you are running 24/7 lighting it wouldn't be an issue.

I've grown an auto at at time in a server which is < 22cm wide 50cm long and 60cm tall. Training and small root pots work wonders and produce bud. You can grow in any size space! There is a 40x40x140 Tent which I was considering as an upgrade to get more height and a couple of plants and I also like the look of the Secret Jardin Cristal - CR60

Why not make a small cabinet.. mines 35x35x80cm with a LED qx-75 board from @diyleduk my first run with it this year but so far so good and mines in the shed.

Used it before with CFL and pulled a couple ounces..

Get a tall 60x60. Yes the Mars 1000 would be right for that spec - or for better quality @diyleduk can do you a 150w (quantumn board type) for not much more.

I did 4 autos in a DR60, fitted nicely

They look well mate, how are the quantum boards? They don't catch fire do they? :) that's my main concern at the minute as it would be on a caravan site that i won't be able to visit every day

I would advise to go as tall as your space allows. Better to have too much space than regret not having enough. I bought a Black Orchid tent recently (I haven't used it yet so can't say if it's any good) it's 200cm tall, which is as tall as I could find. Keep in mind if you use a Quantumn Board you need some space between the unit and the top of the plants.

The Mars TS 1000 is basically the same as a quantumn board.
