Day ticket reservoir at Abbey village near Chorley, monsters in there... I've had a 23 out of there and had another on that nearly dragged me in before swimming around a dead tree underwater,I dead bait with full mackerel for the big ones and strips for the jacks, plenty of other fresh species in there too,had some massive bream on the swim feeder and good perch on small spinners

Tight lines

I was fishing yesterday for Salmon and met guy who told me a spot on a Loch near us that's well known for producing big Pike, he said he had personally had a 32Lb and a friend had caught a 38LB.

can you do this from a beach and when is the best time of the day to do so?

I have fished in my teens in Mediterranean Sea,loved it but what I have seen in England was shocking, never seen anything like it,the tides and waves.

Big respect

Ye Bass you fish from the beach, spinning, I think it's best to fish at night or early on I belibe they come closer in during the dark.

It's not something I've ever done but read about it a bit it's not a big thing where I live, more Cod fishing up here.

11-12FT rod and a spinning reel, I would suggest braid line can cast way way further.
