I must have broke at lest 10 stems before I got a wood stem! Now I only have my wood stem and a gong left

But I won't be buying any more glass I like wood more

Think vapefiend said he'd can't do them for him or something on those lines

The ones vapefiend has do look good as well I want one just to add to the collection

when he shipped my stem from the US he put it as a gift and put it as £1 so I did not have any import fees

Why we are on the subject of wood systems I am getting ed to make me a 14mm WonG with a storage tube that has a weed compartment on one end and the stem in the other for on the go use with a short wood stem out and about vaping will be alot more stealthy

I took the plunge also after the reviews and feedback here.

The solo is a neat bit of kit isn't it?

I've had it a month or so, using it 3 days a week. I'm not super analysing the various heat settings yet... I need to stick to one strain and experiment it a bit more.

I am really in to the clean high and the simplicity of it.

I don't smoke in the house, so nipping out to the garage, pick off a bit of bud, heat to 5 - 7, 3 tokes and done in a few mins.

No mess, no rizla, pipe, grinding, bong water, spillage or smell.

I may get some spare tubes soon as I am bound to break them. Expensive though aren't they?!

As for heat setimg the way all vapes work for me is if it dont combust at Max I vape on max if it combusts on the Max ten I find the spot just before it dose so with the solo its on 7 only for me

Which model Solo do you have?

With my 2013 Solo, I had to have it on 7 all the time to get a decent vape out of it. Now I have a 2014 model, and I can only have it on 3 or 4 max. Anything higher than that and I'm coughing my guts up.

I have a 2012 solo I think it still runs as hot as day one I just like hotter vapor I use my e nano just at the edge of combustion

Every vape I have used I used as hot as I can without combustion and most of the time I use it with a bubbler

I'm partial to higher heat vaping too... 7 all the way for me (even dry recently, though preferably through a bubbler).

@Mr THC you'd really enjoy the Lotus I'm sure - you can really push it as close to the combustion point as you like.

Hits hard and fast with great flavour throughout - I'm ashamed to say I've been using it a wee bit more than my solo recently

Get much better vapor without cranking it up to high if you put a gauze in the stem and grind your herbs. I much much prefer the vapor like this and you get a much more even vaping of your herbs.

I've been using the Solo with the Turbo stem, great results. I break the bud up into small bits and stuff it into the stem, at setting 7 I get nice thick vapes. Does take me more than one session to really vape all the bud though, I usually vape until there's nothing left.

Anyone find indica dom strains better to vape than sats? At the moment my Mohan Ram auto beats all my other strains hands down when it comes to vaping.

I can't get Ed's stems directly from Ed as for some reason he has chosen to give European exclusivity to a French distributor. Unfortunately the French distributor only stocks a very small selection of Ed's products, and has no plans to get any more options. So I'm afraid I'm unable to get anything but the three woods we currently sell, sorry about this.

Really? So you thing the wooden stem is better than the glass? Interesting. One of the reasons I don't fancy the wooden one is because I have the silver Solo and I don't think it will look as cool. Silly though.

Ah I see...think the wood ones would look cool with it...I wanted a black for durability and stealth whilst out... as Vapefiend says the glass pipes look a bit crackheadish !

The wood stems are so much better then glass IMO

As above I will not use glass in public I look like a crack head

I brake glass so glass is no good for me

The wood stems are beautiful pieces of art

The wood stem will out last your solo they are solid

Try will still look cool on the silver ones

This is all just imo

Some don't like the added taste that wood brings

For me I like it and its only slight
