Purps#1 and Sapphire Scout. Alright dudes? I'm doing a regs grow at the moment so I waited to see what females I ended up with before filling the room with feminised seeds. The original plan was 5 regs, hoping for 2 or 3 females and then fill the room with HSO fems and a couple more including Dinafem. The plan changed and I put more regs in and ended up with 5 females. I put a Dinafem Purps#1, Femaleseeds Cherry Pie, HSO Sapphire Scout and an HSO Mango Sapphire in to germinate and the MS failed. Put another in and that failed too. Now I didn't want to wait and try a 3rd as the regs were approaching way too long in 10cm pots without a root trim and I didn't want too many plants at different stages if I waited for another to germ, so I settled for 8 plants. Having only 1 of each, Dinafem and HSO, I couldn't decide which forum to document them in and seperate diaries would be too much work for 2 single plants. I've decided to document them both in here as I haven't done a Dinafem diary in a while so the Purps#1 will be the star of the show because she's one of my favorite smokes, only 2nd to some Afghani I bought way back in 96. I've been searching for the same stone ever since I started growing and P#1 comes very close if not equal to The beans were put in root riot cubes (wet from the bag) on 11th Aug with a couple ml of seaweed solution at 2ml/L added and were up in 3 days. They were then potted into 8cm pots of H&G Bat Special with a good sprinkling of MycorrMax. For some reason I haven't got pics of the new seedlings as they emerged or for week 1 so I'll have to start from day 14. I've never had seedlings stretch this tall in all my time growing (as far as I can remember) and the reason they did was...I'm trying out my new Magnus ML365 cob led with a dimmer switch for the blue and the far red. I've explained in my other diary but to cut a long story short I think the dimmer switch is wired the wrong way round, ie, the blue dial is controlling the far red and the red dial is controlling the blue light. I followed the manufacturer's instructions and it seems I had them under the lamp with the blue fully down and the red fully up because the controls are wrong. I thought something was amiss from the off when the light spread was a deep red, but I gave it a chance because I've no experience with this kind of lamp. They were like this for the best part of a week before I decided to take out the lamp and replace with an HLG quantum board to get the plants back on track while I scratched my head and sussed out the problem. Well I already knew what the problem was but I was pondering over whether it was safe to use or not. Day 14 Here they are with a little added support. P#1. SS. Day 21 pot up. On day 21 I potted them up to their finals, 7L fabrics of Bat Special with added Mycos. I buried the stems a bit, but not too much that the root balls were too low in the pots. Pre pot up. P#1 on the left. P#1 top view. She's got that nice olive green colour of PAK in veg but no doubt there'll be plenty of blues and purples later on. P#1 roots. P#1 potted up, pre watering in. SS top view. SS roots. SS potted up, pre watering in. They were watered in with 500ml of 2ml/L @Intense Nutrients foundation root stim. At some point (can't remember what age) when the trusty old quantum board had sorted them out I'd put the Magnuslight back in and tried the dimmer controls the opposite to what they should be and everything was hunky dory. The lamp was hung at 18" and set to 82w on my watt meter. Bingo, a much brighter pinkish light and no stretch Day 28. They were fed with 1L of 2ml/L root stim on day 23. On day 24 I bent the tops over and tied them down. Fed again on day 26 with 1.5L of the same. This gave a trickle of run off. Temps have been 21-25 most of the time, roots a couple of degrees cooler. On the recent hot days we've had, 23-28 and again the roots a bit cooler. The lamp was still on 82w at about 20" since I bent em over. Purps#1. Responding nicely to the LST. Sapphire Scout. Same again, responding nicely and very healthy. Day 34 super crop. I tried bending the tops over with plant bendz but the main stems were too thick for the bends so I super cropped them and tied them to a lower branch with pipe cleaners. I managed to get some bends on a couple of P#1 side branches but cracked the stem on one of them. I think it was the one top left in the pic, snapped just below the node that's below the plant bend. It's repaired itself ok though. This plant has strong limbs so should hold the weight of her buds nicely with no support. Depends on the stretch I suppose. There's two phenos I'm aware of and I got the short Indica one last time. This one is looking similar up until now. Purps#1. Sapphire Scout. Day 35. There's no keeping these fuckers down. I have been tucking fan leaves under the lowers but they keep bouncing back up so I've had to remove one or two along the way to allow light through. Purps#1. Sapphire Scout. The middle leaflets on some of these fan leaves are 6cm wide Gonna be a strong plant me thinks The environment has been nice and steady, no extremes. The lamp was set at 2' above the canopy and turned up to 111w after training them. Extractor fan wired to slow setting and also the circ fan on it's lowest setting. The circ fan is on a timer to go off at lights off 18/6. I think I've covered most details to get this diary started. They'll be 6 weeks old and 3 weeks in the finals on Friday so that's when I'm planning on flowering, if my regs don't get too big in the meantime. Here's the full canopy, Purps is bang in the middle, Scout to the right of it. Thanks for looking, happy growing and be lucky

hello again. im back with a brand new adventure. And it should be a good one... This time im doing this fine selection of seeds. im waiting patiently for the gelatos to drop, but they shouldn't be long.... I kept back a seed from the new and ogkz from my outdoor adventure specifically for this grow. Some of you might have noticed my pathetic attempts at amateur breeding in another thread, and I have got to the stage where I appear to have finally managed after 4 attempts , to reverse some females to sprout nuts, woohoo. so this collection will be grown out to be pollen recievers, as well as some personal stash for special occasions, like,...…. say Mondays, or Tuesdays, maybe Wednesdays etc, they wont last long …... they will be receiving pollen from another couple of HSO and dina strains (|Black D.O.G , critical+2, moby dick and cali hash plant, if it survives, its looking grim, but you never know) the velvet octane and lemon citron are all new strains from HSO and the descriptions had me drooling so when I got a chance to grow them out, I jumped at it- Thanks Mark for the seeds, its much appreciated, and i'll try and do them justice. im going to be growing these in hydro, because I suck at mud and coco, but seem to get on better with water. so, once germed they will go into my mini bubbler, till by dwc buckets arrive . mini bubbler below. from here, most of them will be going into some 37 litre bubblers, and will be fed my usual nutes, which are ; IOnic grow IOnic bloom growth tech silicone Canna cal mag Growth tech ph down and that's it, that's all you need imho. more once the seeds crack. im only doing one seed of each, I need to be careful with plant numbers, so if they don't sprout they aint coming in. Stay tuned

Thanks to @Dinafem-Mark at https://www.dinafem.org/en/ for the opportunity to run a test grow on these two new strains https://www.dinafem.org/en/purple-moby-dick/ https://www.dinafem.org/en/purps1/

Firstly big thanks to @Dinafem-Mark for letting me be one of the five chosen for this UK420 Ocean Grown Cookies pre release grow show. Hopefully I can do them justice and do a good preview of this new strain. I will be growing out 3 of them along with 1 Dinamed, I have never grown CBD strains before so this is a first for me. Also in the mix is 2 Purps#1 and 1 Remo Chemo, I ran these 2 last year and I want to fill my jars up again. Lastly 1 each of Gorilla and Bubba Kush, these two are new strains for me too. So that’s the plan, 6 strains over 9 plants to showcase Dinafems brand new unrealeased strain, a CBD strain, 2 old favourites and some new ones to me. I will be getting them wet tomorrow evening, I loves a Dinafem grow so this spring should be a lot of fun.

Hello again my stoner chums. Im back with another adventure for you. This time we have 2 x Dinafem purps#1, and 2 of Humbowlts offerings, 1 is a green crack, and the other is a blueberry headband. Here they are.Top left and top right are the purps#1 bottom left the bloob head, bottom right the green crack. The bottom middle is a pre 98 big bud from Nirvana, but we wont mention that here. I started these a couple of weeks back, and introduced them to a life of abuse, leaving them in my propagator till they were almost dead. Then I put them into this mini bubbler, to bring them back from the brink. They seem to be coming good now, compared to how they looked a week ago . Its not gonna be a big grow this one, and I think im just gonna flower them in this bubbler too, but will spread them out a bit before flip, which should be in a couple of weeks time. They are at 0.5 ec and 5.8 ph just now, and the roots have just poked outa the bottom of the pots and into the water. this is the point where they start going nuts on the growth front so hopefully they will be a fair bit bigger next week they aint getting much light just now, but I might go and buy a couple of breeze blocks, to put the tote up higher, nearer the lights. Stay tuned for more dope growing madness.

Hi folks and welcome to my first Dinafem only multistrain diary, I did a multistrain diary in here last year but there were only 3 Dinafem plants in the grow as I had some strains from other breeders as well. This time I am doing only Dinafem strains, the grow will be 8 plants and I plan on veging them up nice and big and hopefully end up with some big and heavy monster plants. I will be doing two each of the new purple genetics Purple Moby Dick and The Purps#1 and one each of Dinachem, Remo Chemo, Strawberry Amnesia and Diesel. I will update later today with some more info about my set up and plans for this grow and also why I have chosen these strains. It it should be lots of fun and I am sure there will plenty of ups and downs along the way.

Let's get this outdoor started then! So I'll start with my strain selection, after seeing how well critical cheese did last year, I selected 10 for this year's comp I'll also be testing 3 new varieties for dinafem, purps#1, purple moby dick and dinamed auto. Many thanks to @Dinafem-Mark and the dinafem team for these! Now onto the plot, I'll be using the same one as last year for dinafem gear, but it's had/having a lot more work put into it! Here's the reason not much grew last year... Heavy clay soil, aaarrrrgggghhhh!!! Anyway I've made a start digging the whole lot over which was really tough going! Here it is before I started And again after a lot of work I've already added 3kg of FBB, I'll also be turning in chicken shit and rotting leaves from the near by woodland on my next visit, probably Seeds for the plot will most likely be started in my greenhouse, in root trainers next week... I have already started a dinamed auto that will stay in the gh (Friday 6th April for reference), the seed went straight into a 15l bucket of compost (Levington M2 mixing with compost bin stuff) and I'll expect to see something in the next couple of days. Good luck to all the other growers, may your harvests be bountiful!

Right first off, Thanks to @Dinafem-Mark for the opportunity to run these beans. They turned up this morning so I have wasted no time at all as there are 2 of each currently floating in little jar bowl things. Once sunk to the bottom, I will put them into little root riots in a lunch box on a heat mat, probably indoors, just till they poke their little heads out, then it will be into the veg box, in approximately 9weeks my flower room will/should be empty, so I am looking at a 8-10 week veg, depending how this goes I might flower in 3.5 again, i will see how it goes, Feed will be AN, A&B, formulex for the roots and a bit of bone meal/blood worm dust on pot up, oh yeah and in coco of course. Ill be back with more pics as soon as they have popped up, cheers Jj

Here we go again then people. I have to say a massive thank you to Dinafem for the opportunity and of course a monster high five to @Dinafem-Mark Mark who should be awarded a knighthood by the Queen for services to Cannabis "arise Sir Mark of Dinafem" So as the title says welcome to the Badbadger Experience. Your "experience" will be focused on Dinafems two latest strains namely Purple Moby Dick... and Purps#1... The grow... They are going to be ran as a wick grow in a 50/50 mix of Guanokalong Complete Compost and Coco Coir. (Dinafem image) They'll be sat on my diy compost/hydro mashed set up, consisting of two circulating U circuits draining back into the main 80ltr tank that will supply all fluids and feeds. They'll be fed on Guanokalongs range of Grow,Bloom,Taste Enhancer and Batboost. I've done a few grows on it and it's been impeccable..... My set up is far from normal but Guanokalongs products are so versatile that they'll run in any pretty much any set up without a seconds thought. Lighting is my Blackdogled Phytomax 2 200w (act) and as supplemental are my 2 Mars Hydro 145w (actual) So all in I have 490w of LED play with. Germination... I germed 2 of each strain using my baking tray technique. (Dinafem image) Take your tray and place 3 paper cases in each space, label the top one before placing one seed in each with 4ml of warm plain h2o..... Cover with 3 more cases and label the top case again.... I place the tray inside the bubble wrap bag and put it inside another for higher humidity and place it in my airing cupboard just above the tank on a few pieces of cardboard to steady the heat so it's pretty warm but not so much so it's an issue, give and take around 24c. I fill 4 three inch pots with the compost/coir to an inch below the rim, water and place them in a bag in my tent to warm up. Shortly we had life in the airing cupboard... Lift each seed up on it's paper case and roll it onto the compost, cover with a pinch of compost and place the paper case over for a little extra warmth and humidity... All done..... Then tuck them in nice and cosy..... Thats us up to date and I'm really looking forward to putting a bit more experience into my grow this time and can't wait to see what these interesting strains have in store for me. Growing is a steep learning curve anyway, if you take it seriously and are relying on it for genuine needed medication it can feel like living on a razor blade waiting for the next spell when your yield/quality drops and that razor blade splits you in two,so I always try and learn my lessons from each outting to improve a little each time. I will layout the process as we get further along the road but it's going to be different that's for sure **this diary was delayed as I had a technical issue (my phone f****d up not me!) and wouldn't let me upload images for near on 3 days so the plants are up already but that's for next time. Until then I think that's it for now, thanks again to Mark and Dinafem. Take care people. ps thanks to jimi for the purple inspiration and name (you still rock jimi) *WARNING* uncensored title piece below..... I'd like to point out it was cold when this image was taken and tilt shift messed up the perspective of the offending "equipment"
