  1. Hey guys and gals! Well to start, I had been doing some light reading over the winter on this forum and I have to say its a delight to see such a welcoming and friendly place for info and tips! I decided to have a go at this 'grow your own' business. Ive got a south easterly facing garden with a greenhouse so it gets the sun for most of the day til about 8pm high summer. Ive even used foil insulation to increase the ray trap. Looks like a bit of a grow house! Ive got a full spectrum of veg and flowers on the go for the neighbours curiosity to be satisfied its not a dodgy grow house lol. Anyways, Ive bought Dinafem seeds, all Autos, I germinated the quick kush a few weeks ago, its doing well I think - a nice rich green. My main worry is that its had a bit of a stretch and purhaps the pot its in is a little small? I think its in a 3L pot and Ive read in a lot of threads that 5L is a good size. So my first question is do I stick with the pot or size up? My worry is I should probably size up very soon.. so its a decision that I need to make asap. Whats your thoughts? The pot has a false bottom so the roots arent soaked and a drainage hole. For Soil I used Biobizz light mix. And Ive used a little fishmix and root juice with its 2nd watering yesterday, maybe 1ml/L of rainwater. Im only watering when the pot feels light and the soil under the top starts to dry. This quick kush germinated when there was no real sun for a week so I bought a little full spec LED lamp to nurse it indoors. At the minute its still sleeping indoors with some LED before bed and spending its days in the greenhouse. Too eager to wait! Ive got a Bubba Kush and a Critical 2.0 seed ready to germinate. Those will deffo be going in bigger pots! And by the time they pop out the soil we should have lovely May sunshine, so wont be getting the LED treatment unless we have a month of rain! Cheers! Red P.S. i have photos but as yet unable to upload due to file size?

  7. Hi All, I need some advice. I am on my first grow, currently running two white widow autos and one amnesia auto, all in 12 litre smart pots in coco, using bio bizz nutes. Tent is a DIY job. LED is a "1200w" (inverted commas because we all know it isnt truly a 1200w light when its LED). Anyway, for my first grow, i considered everything to be going really well until the past few days when my frontrunner (the first WW to germ and start flowering) has been doing some really weird stuff. Firstly, a couple of days, random leaves on the plant started to droop... like they would with an overwatering. But they are really random... i mean like one finger on a fan leaf is drooping... not the whole fan leaf. Then yesterday i noticed at the top that new growth was looking like it was re-vegging (i know this isnt possible with an auto but genetics could be sh*t, so allow me). The reason i say this is because it is behaving exactly like a re-vegging photo period plant. Flower sites popped up all over the plant and now they dont seem to be thickening up with buds and now the new growth is coming out 3 fingered... and smooth!!! No serration on the leaves at all. Has anyone ever seen this with an auto? I recently increased my light schedule (i was on 12/12 - amateur error, but a couple of weeks back i changed it to 18/6 in an attempt to maximise yield). I dont know what to do, would switching it back to 12/12 be worth a try to see if i can kick start the flowering again? Im reluctant because my amnesia is start to put on buds and the second white widow isnt far off itself. Havent quite figured out the photos on this forum yet but will play around now and get some posted.
  8. So after attempting to dig my holes at one plot, I've realised the reason it's so clear of trees etc. is because there's only a few inches of soil before you reach a massive rock. My plot is perched atop this massive rock and is surrounded by thick foliage. Basically, there are no digging alternatives, and it's a great plot with near-all day sun (just a cunt to get to) - so I'm going to plant out in fabric pots. It's within a reasonable distance (just fuckin awkward terrain) so I can get up there to water when necessary. I was also going to mix some water crystals into the compost to help with dry spells. My current thinking is this: -Germinate the seeds in 1/2L peat pots -Have them in my LED cupboard on shitty days and out in the sun whenever possible (16/8 cycle) -After approx. two weeks, assuming they're alive and healthy, soak and rip the peat pot and plant directly into fabric pot full of 100% compost (w/ bit of perlite) -Because I don't have time to let natural fertilisers break down, feed with liquid nutes as and when required This is my first grow and I've already managed to butcher a fair few of my photos. I have two Auto Mazars just sprouted and they will be following the plan above unless someone intervenes (lol). I'm considering buying six Auto Lemonade OG from RGSC, because a few photos will be going out today and there will be more space in the cupboard. I've invested £hundreds in this already, I really want some smoke out of it! The first is always going to be a massive learning curve and next year I already know what I will be doing differently. But I know how much I'll kick myself if my only survivors don't make it to bud. I have three decent sized photos about to go out but I'm very aware of how vulnerable they are. Any recommendation on pot size? I currently have a few 40L and 50L fabric pots which I bought a while ago to plant photoperiods in undiggable plots. Could I get away with smaller with autos? 30L? Absolutely any advice would be hugely appreciated. I know there are already discussions about fabric pots and autos etc. on here, I just want to know if there's any glaring problems with my plan. Sorry!
