Hello everyone, i have two plants two weeks into flower... a gelato 33 which is doing just fine!!! and a green ninja which has started showing some signs of a problem that I need some advice on please. the ninja’s leaves started to curl down at the tips which I noticed this morning...upon checking them tonight the leaves are completely curling down...I thought it could be one of two things, and thought peeps on here might be able to help me pretty please... basically my ph pen died yesterday! It won’t calibrate anymore so I think the readings are completely off! (I’ve ordered a new one and will be here by Sunday). This morning I had to reluctantly guestimate my water ph as my ninja was in desperate need of water...so I’m thinking incorrect water ph may be causing leaves to curl down.... OR... the plants a bushy beast! In a 3 gallon pot and I can see fair amount of roots underneath via the drainage holes...so thought it might possibly be root bound?? Temps are constantly 26-27 degrees Celsius with lights on....21.5-23 degrees Celsius lights off...with a tower fan and clip on fan moving air around so I don’t think it’s heat stress.... Advice massively appreciated!!!!!

Hi Israeli Police Chief Calls for Reevaluation Israel’s Marijuana Policy Israel Police Chief Yohanan Danino told students in a Beit Shemesh school on Wednesday, May 13, that he is in favor of reevaluating the state’s policy over the use of cannabis. During a Q&A session with the students, Danino stated he is in favor of looking into how other countries in the world address the marijuana issue. He also added that the number of licenses for medical marijuana have increased, which mandates a reevaluation of the matter. Danino said that he spoke with new members of Israel’s Knesset and suggested they reevaluate the policy in which much effort and use of the police force has been invested in the enforcement of the ban on marijuana usage. The Israel police chief would not be the first public figure to come out in favor of changing the policy towards marijuana in Israel. Some MKs on both the left and the right are advocates of this issue. “In a conversation with the Police Chief we came up with an outline that would abolish the law that incriminates cannabis users, as long as they are law-abiding citizens.” Jewish Home’s MK Yinon Magal, a strong supporter of legalization, told the Tazpit News Agency. Meretz MK Tamar Zandberg, who has led the fight for legalization in the Knesset for many years, told the Tazpit News Agency that “the time has come to make a significant change in the issue of cannabis. “The public has advanced to the point that they understand that cannabis users are normative citizens who are not harming anybody and that there’s no reason to persecute them and incriminate them. The time has come for elected officials to change the laws regarding this issue,” Zandberg said. The discussion over legalization in Israel is a long standing one. Although pot isn’t legal in Israel, medical marijuana is available for patients who qualify for it, such as cancer patients and MS patients. In addition to that, a form of de-criminalization is implemented, as cannabis users are not usually punished for possession of under 15 grams. Former Attorney General Meni Mazuz said in 2013 that he gave directions not to deal with soft drugs since it was a waste of enforcement resources. An Israeli liberal political party called Ale Yarok (Green Leaf), which advocates the legalization of marijuana, has existed in Israel since 1999 and has fallen just short of getting seats in the Knesset in previous elections. However, a survey published by Israeli news website Mako last year, showed that most Israelis were still against legalization, with 56 percent saying marijuana should not be legalized, and only 33 percent supporting such an initiative. The coming months will show if Danino’s approach will have any effect on the new government’s stance on this issue. Hi Israeli Start-Ups Bank on Cannabis Technologies to Help Feed Poor, Lead to Medical Innovation Cannabis research has become a hot topic among Israeli start-ups. Last week in Jaffa, investors, inventors and researchers gathered at Canna Tech to discuss the potential of marijuana technologies and research. David Oren, the managing partner of Israeli VC firm Pirveli Ventures, said that the cannabis field is the perfect place for research and start-ups right now. Marijuana is the “lowest-hanging fruit right now, because medical cannabis growers have money and they are willing to adopt new technologies much faster than other kinds of growers,” Oren explained. “There is a lot of buzz among US investors about this.” With cannabis research banned in the United States, however, many have flocked to Israel where marijuana research is taken seriously. Unlike in other countries where the industry is full of charlatans “in Israel there is interest in establishing international standards that could revolutionize the cannabis industry,” Karin Kloosterman, who organized Canna Tech, said. Kloosterman also said the technology being developed is not just for growing better pot. The same technologies to grow cannabis may one day help feed the poor. “You find Israelis everywhere the cannabis scene as master growers and investors. They have this world of knowledge and we want to connect them to one another and to investors,” Kloosterman, whose own start-up is looking to simplify hydroponic growing. “My mission is to create a tool to feed the world, and I think what’s happening in the cannabis community can be a model for that,” she said. Dr. Alan Shackelford moved from Denver to Israel so that he could be on the cutting edge of medical marijuana research. He thinks Israel can lead the field in marijuana-related treatments.
