  1. Hi, I've had my Frisian Duck outdoors, but in a pot, since May. First in a greenhouse, then the wilds and now back in a greenhouse since the start of October when the heavens opened. The pistils on her little purple buds have started going red/brown in earnest now. I'm not 100% sure when she will be absolutely finished and I am in no particular hurry. Information about her usual finishing time is vague, of course it always is, but never more so. Some sites say they start flowering at the start of October (I think they might mean finish). Some say they are ready mid-October and some at the End of November. Even the breeder - Dutch Passions own website is vague saying harvest is somewhere between the start and middle of Autumn, presumably meaning around the third week of October (2 weeks time). Quite a few leaves have yellowed and dropped off, but it is far from the majority, so I assume there are plenty of nutrients in the plant and in the soil. I am using Biobizz nutrients and have it reasonably dialled in I think. All that said, I was wondering if organic outdoor pot-based growers bother with a flush? If so, would you assume that there are about 2 weeks left and start to water without nutrients for the last couple of weeks? I am torn between carrying on with nutrients as I have been and going to water only for 'the last couple of weeks'. What do you think? Should I go to water only, carry on giving nutrients, get the microscope out and only go to water once I have the ambers coming on properly or Option X? Midge
  2. Okay well another dodgee adventure begins! Poor spelling/Atrocious grammar/Haphazard updates/ Shite photography... We got it all! But if you can put up with the nonsense we might see some interesting things along the way. So I somehow managed to blag myself some bags of magic mud.. By all accounts this stuff is the shizz nizz, the bees knees, all singing, all dancing all bah a bleeding blowjob compo!! AND wait for it.... You just add water. Couldn't be simpler than that right? Even an idiot can't fuck that up surely you say?? We shall see! All this supersoil/no till malarkey is completely new to me so expect a few fuck ups along the way but I shall do my best like. Where are we then, 4 x 40L fabric pots have been filled with a bag each of ecolife, and 2L of water per pot have been added, Next i opted for these mulch mats made from jute, they just seemed a quick easy fix hopefully my laziness doesn't kick me in the balls at a later date, Next i divided 100g worms between the 4 pots, I say I divided but it fair to say the bulk went in the two front most pots, I'll pickup some more, next up I installed a blue mat in each pot and placed the feed lines in a 5L jug of water, I'm gonna leave them a couple of days to hydrate properly and for the worms to settle in. meanwhile I'll germinate 5 x dinafems og cookies, the 4 strongest looking will go into these. Next update will be in a few days when the lil ladies get into there new beds for the next few months.. Many thanks @diyleduk for the chance to try this stuff out, if you see any obvious mistakes be sure n shout plz mucka!Lol Thanks for looking folks, for now take care n I'll be back soon Nice1 dodge
  3. Okay well this is the start of a much belated grow log, I'll be using ecothrive Soil courtesy of @diyleduk And growing 24kGold clones provided by a friend. The clones arrived in 2inch rockwool cubes and got placed into the pots on Friday afternoon. They're still alive now which is the longest anything has lasted in the loft in months so I *think* I'm okay too get this diary going. They're a wee bit raggedy looking as you can see bit I'm sure they will perk up. No bluemats as yet, just hand watered for now. The other diary in the dinafem section will continue once it's safe to fine up the second tent again (any day now basically) For now apologies for the late start, and fingers crossed for good things Atb dodge
