Just as an update - heed @Budelaire's warning! I've only had my humidifier on for two weeks and I'm seeing a light build up of white dust on top of my light fixtures already. My tap water is never higher than 0.16 EC so thought I might be OK but obviously not.  I've slowly ramped the RH down over 24 hours so they don't get too shocked, but they'll just have to deal with RH 45% as there's no way I'm setting up an RO system.  I do think VPD makes a difference (certain strains struggle with high transpiration I think) but not worth a potentially failing filter and reduced light output.

Would be shitting myself too mate.  If your RH has been that high consistently, that may be your culprit. I'd be getting a dehumidifier pronto - keep rot at bay and keep your new filter sweet.  How are you connecting your filter to your fan?  I think I'd be tempted to harvest a little early in this situation.
