teehee
I think a gradual light change is good.... less of a shock to the plant. I went gradually from 24/0 through to 21/3 over 6 weeks, but that's Autos.... with photos I would have done the same as you, gradually, like mother nature. All the best for a blooming marvellous harvest, mate!
Freax
Hi all, just a quick photo update. Until i get back online in my own house. This pic was taken on the 18th, so they have changed a bit more since and ill get pics up when i can. EC is now at 1.4 and PH is staying very stable around 5.8 - 6.0 for long periods of time. They are still on a mix of grow and bloom nutes right now, more bloom than grow, but ill have them on full bloom nutes by the end of next week. Thats it for now. Cheers for looking in.

Freax
Right then its update time now that im back online at home. Things have been going real well, after tapering down the lights on time over a week ive now been on 12/12 for 11 days. The girls are really stretching now. Last night i went in and lollipopped them, they were getting really dense but now theyve had a trim downstairs theres a lot more airflow through the canopy now and the humidity level has dropped a little bit too. The EC is 1.5 now and because of all the fluffy tops i have coming ive now started adding Ionic boost and will continue using it all the way through flowering. So my nutes are at the moment made up from 0.2 EC Cal-Mag, 2ml/10L Sillicon and then a mix of Grow, Bloom and of course the boost that ive mentioned. Im also using 1ml/10L Pythoff every 4-5 days just to help keep the roots nice and clean and healthy. PH is staying really stable at 5.9 and takes days to drift up after setting it. Its so much easier to control the PH in the flexi tank compared to using the NFT system. Anyway while i was there last night i took a cpl of pics. Before a trim After a trim And last up a bit of root porn. After the root probs at the start, this is now what they all look like. Fresh, white, healthy roots. Thats it for now guys, cheers for looking in. Edited November 29, 2015 by Freax

Very impressive and now this system has my attention. Nice to have you back online mate All the best D-M. Yes mate, they are looking sweet. A lot of the root formation was, sort of, given a bit of a boost because of the extreme air pruning sessions they had when they weren't being kept wet enough. Forcing them to produce more side roots to try and keep the plant alive made them really progress well later on. I did give them 1 dose of half strength Regeneroot which I think helped, but I've been staying on the ball with the Pythoff and dosing the res every 4-5 days even though it hasn't been getting too warm it just helps to keep it all clean. As for the Alien system, I'm liking it more every time I use it, this being only the second time. All I need to do now is get the early veg stages sussed properly then I'll really be cooking with gas. I've got a few ideas in mind that I'll have to try out to see if they work, but I'm sure I'll get it sorted.

Freax
Those roots are outstanding man, nice one dude. Cheers dude. So lets do a quick update. The following pic was taken about half hour ago. The girls are now 16 days into 12/12 and are coming on lovely. Loads of bud sites forming and it looks like the stretch is just about done now (hopefully). I still need to trim a few bits from the undergrowth but ill do that in the next cpl of days before its too far in to be messing with them too much. The EC dropped back from 1.5 to 1.4 and the plants look great so im gonna keep it where it is for the rest of the grow. The PH is still staying at 5.9 to 6.0 quite happily and im not having to adjust it for about a week after its been set. Im going to do a res change in the next few days and then they will be on bloom nutes only from then on. I did supercrop a cpl of tops yesterday just to keep them from getting too tall and i may do a bit more in the next few days. Im going to put the net in tomorrow to get some support in there, i got a net hammock from asda off a mate and if i cut the steel rings off the ends it should be a great fit in my tent when its opened out properly. Cheers for looking in.

Freax
Res change done, EC @ 1.4, PH @ 5.9 Bloom nutes only from now on. Net in, sort of not really happy with it and might take it back out and just rely on my yo-yo's. Should've put it in sooner. So I'm just 22 days into 12/12 and these girls are super sticky already, after putting the net in my hands were really sticky and you can clearly see trichomes on the leaves close to the buds. These girls really take well to being topped and super cropped, but if ya don't fancy topping them, the structure of this plant is great. Even the ones I didn't top have plenty of side branches and fills out nicely.
Freax
Just a cpl of pics guys. Still not too sure about the net, but hey its in now and i really dont know if i could be arsed to take it back out. Left side of tent Right side of tent And a cpl of little bud shots. As you can see they are getting frosty now too. The smell is incredible when the tent is open. Thats it for now guys. Cheers for looking in.

Freax
I bet that was a nightmare trying get that screen up . Things look great mate. Thank you for the picture update very much appreciated. All the best D-M. Yes mate, it was a bit of a mare. But, it's in now so it can stay there. These girls are drinking loads now too. They've gone through about 30L in the last 3 days, EC and PH havnt fluctuated at all since the res change and all the buds seem to be getting bigger every few hrs. I'm running a Mars Hydro 600w LED that I've borrowed from a mate in there alongside the HPS for a night or 2 just to see how much more electric it's gonna take and see if we can afford the extra cost of running it. If we can then I'm gonna leave it in there for the rest of the grow. I've moved the HPS over a few inches and put the LED in alongside it. Ive asked a few here who have said they do the same with good results, so I figure it's gotta be worth a try. After 3 hrs the temp has risen a fraction and was sat at 28.1C when I checked in on them just now. So, now its just down to cost and if we can afford the extra leccy.
