catfish Posted October 15, 2018 Share Posted October 15, 2018 thankyou for your answer @potato1356 ive had some live resin last week actually it was some grape fruit diesel live resin it looked like marmalade kinda smelt of grapefruit rind and juice . im not sure if it was any stronger but the taste is lovelty shame ive got through 2 grams over this week. ive been getting my shatter which is made better than i can with over 120 hour purge . i can get it very cheep so im happy to let an expert make it for me rather than me fuck it up after spending a couple of grand on a closed loop and vac over ect . anyways carry on sir i watch with bated breath. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Is this the kind of kit you're getting? Thank you! I think my current rig is up to about £2300 GBP , and the new bits will be an additional 400 or so.... It's a basic closed loop system, but of an extremely high quality. considering how dangerous this stuff can be, I would avoid the fuck out of cheap chinese stuff. I have a gas chamber, 2 braided hoses, a 1.5" tube with jacket, large lock off valve below the tube, and a catch vessel with shatter platter. pressure valves throughout the system, and multiple ports for double recovery and pulling vacs when needed through processing. without a vac oven you're screwed if you want quality. I'm insanely lucky - where I am is a haven for the canna scene - people just go on instagram for everything here now - flower, extract, edibles, clones, seeds, equipment, packaging, the lot! There's a crazy good network through the canna clubs so I've had a chance to meet many who are infinitely more experienced than I am..... It was a cryptic mystery a short time ago, but having humble experts willing to share quickly changes things! potato1356 Posted October 26, 2018 Share Posted October 26, 2018 Some auto runt cookies i whacked in soil and saved have finally finished their tiny lives under 150w of led, and were frosty as motherfuckers and smelled great, so I did a live resin extraction So I stripped em bare and froze em in dry ice immediately - 6 plants done in 4 minutes hahahahaaaaa Then I crumble it to large breadcrumb consistency for max exposure (as loss of yield is already a huge factor in live resin, so we mitigate shit circumstances) nice new shiny accessory for the rig - makes shit easier. Loading frozen material And the pour (still has sub zero butane in it, makes for the most efficient pour) - Then after a few hours of vapping off at room temp - At this stage it's in the vac oven, and is just a perfect little square of gold glass picture updates soon.... 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
potato1356 Posted October 27, 2018 Share Posted October 27, 2018 next steps for cookies shatter - first stage of purge done - here is where we're at - So I folded the sheet carefully to thicken the slab so that when I freeze it, I can easily separate the glass from the sheet, before flipping and re-purging... So I did a little live resin, and because my last tube still had a few drips of butane in it when I disconnected it, I applied simple, but ultimately stupid logic. I sealed the butane chamber and warmed it (low tech pressure push method). I built pressure to 60 psi. This alone would have been fine, but I dumped my ice too early in the tube, so when I released the gas - some of the collumn had fucking defrosted. ARGH. fuck my life - shit soup everybody! tastes fucking amazing, blitzes the senses, but looks like poo soup. The heart breaking thing is that is was light amber until that last 3% butane pushed through..... buggering fuck the cunt hahahaaa Everyday's a school day. DELICIOUSSSSSSSS! 6 teeny plants done - 7.1g total yield 7g of extract like this will last me 6 months - potency and purity counts! Next up on my list is a couple of teeny 1oz runs - ODV3 - And a Gelato x amnesia haze - After that will hopefully be Some of my Ken's kush #4 pheno (most sativa of the lot) - grown organically by a friend.
