tescoturnip
Over last week have been round each plot made sure what needs staking is staked, put down some SOP and bonemeal. Also had some cannacoco nutrients so made up a bottle of strong stuff and everything got a little drizzle each for rain not wash in, except tall plot I only got to today each ferry and no rain forecast! The Caged Plot These all growing on well had to do a bit of lower level trimming and inside as want to keep bit of airflow between main budding sites. Seems a toss up of chopping potential bud over maximising air flow and fingers crossed reducing mould. Whitey freeze Mighty freeze Royal mazar Most of these about 4ft but getting plenty of light and looking healthy to my untrained eye. I'm happy with them anyway, looking like atleast 2 weeks of nice weather now so that should help. As the 2 weeks of rain we had wiped out autos got a couple of saved branches hanging now that might fill a jam jar if I'm lucky!
tescoturnip
The Tall Plot A well named plot as I go to find the first plant in the field looking for a 5ft plant struggling for light, then I'm greeted by a 6ft tower of a plant! Which only got better and I went from plant to plant! Had a bit of a problem with lower branches snapping, did trim the lowest of these last time but it appears not enough, not sure what I'd do without having to stake every individual branch. Only have main stems staked atm after some high winds few weeks ago. So you know these stakes are all 4ft and no more in the ground than 8inchs, as quite hard to gauge height with surrounding maize. Royal mazar: Few of these starting to bud nicely hard to gauge how many weeks away but still got some growing to do. Struggle to get a good overall picture of budding plants never come out on camera as good as they look. Background of 2nd to last is mighty gold. Rest are either Whitey freeze, mighty gold or mighty freeze all fairly similar plants in size and structure. Other than some a few days ahead on flowering, but everything has pre flowers now. Which is a good job as the aim is to get these finished and harvested before the maize is chopped! Biggest plant of the day goes to this mighty gold, as tall as the maize which is standing about 2m+. tescoturnip
Bit of a unplanned visit to the small plot Was walking dog this way so just went to open up these girls a little and let some light and in. found spot of mould on a nuggetlet so that got chopped. Otherwise looking good, love how quick these move at this stage! Whitey freeze Royal mazar

tescoturnip
Was up hour before the alarm this morning so thought why not spend my time wisely and check mould rather than scrolling through uk420 with a coffee. So hopped on my bike to the tall plot which is somewherr between a mile or two to travel. Didnt have long so only checked furthest along girls, glad I did as few spots here and there, surprised by how some on such early early aswell. Took a lot of lower stuff and leaves touching other budding sites already here to minimise, just this bloody weather with drizzle and grey between sun. Both Royal mazar furthest along here May have to so some more early runs at other plots to check for mould on closer plants
tescoturnip
Just to quick one popped to plot and royal mazar is pretty much there ready to go, got cloudy trichs, could of have a couple more days if sun was out but tomorrow wet wet wet and little wind think better not to risk it. Have took off fan leaves ready for a mission later to bring it home once dark One other also there at another plot will see if have time for this one two but other big girl imagine will fill tonight's hours. No mould atm but picked few spots off last week in bad weather, just would be kicking myself if decided to leave and come back in few days to any big % of losses to mould

tescoturnip
Looking at weather today think was the right decision to get two down, pissing it down today! I checked them by cutting the lowest bud which clearly didn't have many brown hairs but under the loupe was cloudy trichcomes. Yesterday was thinking do I, don't I. But glad I got them home, found a few spots of mould but less than 1%, which in 4/5days when next got chance to chop could easily be 10%+ So much easier to trim the plant as it stands rather than bringing home branches to then try and hold and trim! Defo be doing this with the girls I can reach. Forgot by gloves mind which made for very sticky hands! Looking at mighty golds there massive 8ft+ abd only just showing flowering signs, which in the maize is going to be a non finisher with maize getting chop hopefully about the 1st October, so they'll need to get a move on! Did check others and all looking good but didn't take any photos and was to concerned about the ready ones will get a proper update in next few days
tescoturnip
Another one bites the dust... Whitey freeze Lost less 5% to mould but where it was mouldy was primed ready to spread with first gust of wind, not surprising after inch of rain in Saturday and how dense she is! Smells very sweet, like a haribo almost Edited August 23, 2021 by tescoturnip Adding bits

Had a lot of rain since then so would hope should be okay. Tbh didn't even occur to me, so fingers crossed there okay. Other than that only had organic dry ferts, which shouldn't effect!? Guess won't be able to tell now until smoke and see if the Ash goes hard?
tescoturnip
Just checked drying plant and just had to chuck a load looking like this , had plant hanging whole in loft without fan as thought would dry to quick with temps up there. Have just purchased some BIG boxes and ducting with fan to set up something a long the lines of what @HullFeltMashematician does with box Chambers and constant air flow in negative chamber. Details on random pic thread p729 Still will get high temps but hopefully can create a more stable environment
