Went to check caged plot yesterday a happy to see most is flying away, past the cages to small problem...

Only thing that was a bit slow was the auto ammo, but still budding although cabt see will get more than few grams off each but it will be well ahead of rest so dont mind wasting time trimming small plants for some early stuff.

With a weekend of bright sunshine coming and plenty of moisture looking forward to next weeks visit if need to

Also took down some kanes put at 45degrees to rough north to open plants up a little, wasnt going to bother with this as wanted as much height as possible with surrounding maize but couldnt resist and couldnt see it'll effect to much other than more decent buds and less popcorn at the bottom shaded by maize, we'll see!

Question to you more experienced, I have some bonemeal and also potash when do I start feeding this instead of fbb? Gunna water this weekend some point if stays hot hot so can add in then or do I hold off until actually budding?!?

Grow in the maize looking good @tescoturnip - this photo worthy of adding to the Wildlife on Weed thread.

Is already there :D

Been doing few water runs in evenings with handy water troughs in field corners nearby, so after tonight everything would of had 10l+ each. Still plenty of moisture inch or two down so not essential but thought with this heat will help them flourish.

Was a busy one last night with enough buckets to make my arms weak! Luckily everything is within 250m of water source.

Phone died after first hour so havnt got pictures of everything.

Had a Whitey freeze giving off some pink pistils so will try and snap that another day!

Maize seems to be flying leaving my plants behind a little so had to 'supercrop' snap tops a little abd give them a bit more space.

These were taken at 7.30pm roughly so still getting nearly 12hrs sunshine a day

Had a bit of trim lower down levels which would only be sunless popcorn

That corn really has shot up! All looking good tho there. Guess it will get harder and harder soon to find them!

Yep corn is pushing 6ft in tallest fields. Others are just going past 4ft but all growing so fast with this hot spell!

Have got it mapped on paper so aslong as I can find first one I know how many rows across and distance for one to another, also has what strain is which as the tags I put out on plant out seem long gone!

Let's hope these storms are stem strengtheners rather than stem snappers! As nothing staked up quite yet will check on weekend with a couple of canes handy just incase.

Auto ammos seemed not far off considering they weren't germed til end of May, think on about the 60 day mark, can't see it will need 100days+, might be from them getting root bound in pots to started even early than they were suppose to.

Have 4 plants in one large pot in garden (will grab a picture when stopped hammering it down), one being auto ammo so hoping if there all about same stages can judge off this one when ready to chop and harvest together as long as this rain doesn't induce the dreaded mould!

Have made a frame up to try and keep them jumping to tall and try a bit for LST but will let them go in week or 2 to grow upwards

Ended up going to one of plots with tallest maize this evening with stakes, glad I did there were few on a bit of a lean.

Just grabbed few snaps the stakes next to plant in first picture are 4ft so you can see just how tall maize is! Took a few leaves of maize plants nearby without killing surrounding plants, just to thin it a little to help light get to plants.

Royal mazar starting to flower and looking good.

Forgot to take pictures of ammo as started raining there only 1ft plants but got some girth of buds considering so small and dwarfed even further by maize!

Right another plot visit, let's call the one above the tall plot since the maize is mega!

And this one can be

the small plot...

No explanation needed

Very windy maize all sideways, aswell as my plants so pics not greatest with the gales blowing yesterday. Will need to bring up some stakes here before they put on some weight.

Few looking a a little hungry thinking of making a quick fix just using bit of fresh cow shit in bucket with water added and just water into the plants so can get N straight away, not sure this is best idea mind or how effective don't wanna over do them.

Firstly

Whitey freeze, lovely looking pinks coming from one and nice structure although only 4ft or so

large.20210730_120610_compress27.jpglarge.20210730_120600_compress96.jpglarge.20210730_120542_compress49.jpg

Next mighty freeze:

Not sure how first one is going to play out massively spaced and flimsy structure, although holding strong in wind not sure about when tries adding weight on the ends! Much prefer the girl behind!

large.20210730_121426_compress91.jpglarge.20210730_121253_compress55.jpglarge.20210730_121300_compress62.jpglarge.20210730_121410_compress92.jpg

large.20210730_121229_compress53.jpg

Royal mazar:

Looking good starting to see some action

large.20210730_122227_compress16.jpglarge.20210730_122210_compress28.jpglarge.20210730_122236_compress86.jpglarge.20210730_122327_compress71.jpg

And lastly at this plot the auto ammo, which are truly tiny and didnt like my plant and leave method into naive soil, understood since autos and more sensitive. Ones at other plot looking bit better than this lot. Might produce something if stops raining and let them finish in peace!

the tree plot

The few randoms I started early to test set up

All bit leggy and stretching a bit planted bit close to tree line for concealment. But still fairly happy with How's there getting on considering the lack of love they've had. All about 5ft tall

Quick check on some small ammo autos and there now 90% chucked in the hedge. Fecking mould!

Lack of wind and wet wetter got the better on them. All quite small so no massive loss just the hope of anything early out the window! Some ammo still okay that only just flowering but the rest is riddled with the brown stuff. Just hope this weather perks up by September when the rest will be finishing.

Only took this pic if what didn't look to bad until got into it and really looked

@Revive

Yep let's hope so, they were all short, stocky and solid buds so I think it was odds stacked against with amount of rain we've had recently.

Rest of line up is semi autos and not 1ft off the ground so if weather can just pick up until end of September will be laughing.

Just have to wait and see, no point stressing over what  comes from the sky and cant be controlled
