this is a trainweck, the cutting had been grown on and topped before introduction to the system so would have been around 5 weeks old at the time of the picture, it has been in the system for 1 week and these shots are to show how to develop the plants structure for scrog cultivation

image

this is the plant before pruning and trimming, 12 cuttings were harvested at this time.

image

this is the plant after pruning out the weaker shoots(for clones) and sub laterals to form the main structure.the plant is now on 18/6 ec1.2 pH around 6 temps 20-26 c rh65%

the soup is

40l volume

hydrotops root stim 10ml/ltr

bactivator 1 dose

bioponic grow 2ml/ltr

top heavy crop 1 dose

hydrotops leaf feed foliar spray is also used at lights out on alternative days.

these are a week later,

about to be pruned.

and after.

image

mesh fitted over the plant and lowered into position while arranging the stems in a radial fashion

image

looks a bit severe but after 24 hours all the shoots will have orientated themselves and continue to grow.
as the shoots grow they are trained back daily under the scrog mesh directing the stalks where they are required to fill any voids on the mesh, loose tyes can be used if branches droop to support the branch under the mesh or you can put the occasional weave through the mesh to support (stalk) nothing is allowed to grow up through the mesh for more than a day. flowering is initiated when the diameter of the plant canopy reaches 3/4 of the scrog area. use the 'stretch' period to continue filling up the remaining area by training the stalks as you did in veg.continue to remove secondary growth beneath the main canopy as it appears aim for bare stems below around 4" from the mesh. this is important for airflow esp later in flower to prevent mold loving conditions
