Smokebelch
Way back in the spring I popped 3 of the HSO regs and ended up with a Male which I usually would cull and just flower the females. I have slowly been upgrading up my grow gear over the last few years and this year I have ended up with a main flower tent and two big prop tents all with fans and filters installed so my options have suddenly opened up massively and I decided to keep the male and have a go at producing some pollen for a bit of a diy breeding project. As usual I did no research and kept him in veg for months potting him up as I went along and I ended up flowering him out in a 6 litre pot under my old T5 lights. As a result and much to the amusement of some folk on here I ended up with enough pollen to seed a whole field. Next time I will flower males in 1 litre pots. He flowered for around 3 weeks before he was muture and when the pods started to open I cut the cola branches off and put them into a jug of water hanging over wax paper (see bottom photo) everyday for a week I tapped the branches and the pollen dropped onto the paper. I left it sitting on the wax paper for a week to get nice and dry, I then scooped it up and put into air tight jar with 3 silica packs. Its been in the fridge since but now I have done the deed it’s gone in the freezer. I know it’s viable as a mate used a bit on a CBD Plant a week ago and he has seeds forming now. I always wondered how this was done to be collected, that’s a very useful piece off information there dude... Not something I’m thinking abt trying just yet I still got ur original problem off just the one small grow space, plus I’m not so experienced yet haha
Smokebelch
@Amo No worries dude, yeah to do this you would deffo need to get a separate tent set up in a different room that your flower tent is in. I had it set up in my living room. After all this messing around with a large quantity of pollen in my flat I am shitting myself that my current flowering plants will be full of seeds. Fair play to taking up the challenge...
Smokebelch
It’s day 34 today and I managed to get the rest of my HSO ladies out last night for some full plant photos. I don’t like the way they come out with the white wall behind, I need to get hold of some more black curtain material so I can get some nice jet black back grounds again. Let’s start with The New, she is a nice and healthy little plant but I am afraid is my least favourite in the tent at the moment, small colas on her and they don’t really have much smell yet, the flowers just smell green and planty to me. It’s still early days so hopefully she will improve but yeah sorry folks, there are much nicer plants with bigger and nicer smelling colas in my tent at the moment. She is getting fed 2ml Fishmix & 2ml Bloom The New @ Day 33 Edited September 27, 2019 by Smokebelch
Smokebelch
I took some close ups of the flowers but they look rubbish against the white wall, I can get better shots of the flowers in the tent so I will do that at lights on. This Blueberry Headband is looking like it’s going to be a big yielding plant, the flowers smell lovely fruity berryness. I love tall plants with big long colas all the way down, after the two skunks she is my second favourite. She is only in a 6 litre pot so I amazed at the size of her. This was a freebie seed that’s been in the stash jar for years. She is a greedy girl and is getting fed 4ml Fishmix & 2ml Bloom Blueberry Headband @ Day 33 Edited September 27, 2019 by Smokebelch
Smokebelch
The Green Crack is looking really nice, she smells quite a lot, it’s fruity and also a bit piney to me, it’s hard describing smells. She is very frosty and looks to forming some solid fat colas. Average feeder and is getting 3ml Fishmix & 2ml Bloom Green Crack @ Day 33 Edited September 27, 2019 by Smokebelch
Sargares
I think the pheno of the new i have finished is quite an odd one. All the other cuts I have don't look the same. There is a taller pheno with fairly big leaves that are fairly long and thin. There is a shorter pheno with small typical indica maple leaves. My pheno is extremely leafy and has ENORMOUS leaves with very deep serations. Mine didn't look like much but for the size of the plant it yielded quite well. Mine was pretty damn stinky from early on so you might have gotten a dud here. Time will tell i guess!

Smokebelch
Its been a while since I last updated so this weekend I took a load of photos of the plants at week 6. Things are looking excellent with no problems to report, the new LEDs are smashing it and all the plants feel heavier than usual at this stage. Looking Good @ Day 42
Smokebelch
The two Pineapple Skunks are still the stars of the show especially the horse shit stinky pheno. Both Plants have been on 3ml of Fishmix and 2ml of Bloom and from now on I will dropping the fishmix down on both plants, 2ml for this week then down to 1ml next week and then keep them on that until the chop. Smokebelch
The New has been a funny plant and up until recently I want too impressed but over the last week or two she has started to pack on a bit of weight and she is producing more trichomes now. I did pollenate a whole branch on her so maybe that slowed her down a bit. Being fed 3ml Fishmix and 2ml Bloom, I will now slowly drop the Fishmix down until the chop. The New @ Day 42, the flower bud at the bottom of the first picture is the pollenated one.
