them Posted October 4, 2012 Share Posted October 4, 2012 On a sadder note both a bluexjack and a small bird died in this cage, i guess the poor little fella got in and couldnt jump out! I removed the cage on arrival and left the bird where it was and when i went on the next visit it had gone!The old circle of life i think maybe a fox or summat got it! That is a juvenile Water Rail mate. Very elusive birds which skulk about in wet ditches, reedbeds and wetlands in general. adult They'll scare the shite out of you and sound MASSIVE if their call startles you when out & about minding yer own business in the dead of night..
