The harvest is going to be... BOM!:wanker:

Sweet smokes,

Perhaps more snowfall in my drobe and tent than currently outside. :D

I've now harvested the Bonanza with the fast batch last thursday.  Took me about 4hrs to manicure the 8 girls.  The girls were exactly 55 days into flower! Some could have been chopped a little sooner and some could have been in the drobe for a few more days.  But in general, i think it was good timming and certainly fast enough for me.

There are a lot of pictures and probably best i start right away.

I also made a few pictures outside the bonanza.  Not a big fan of taking picture during chop - handling the camera with sticky fingers can be a bit annoying, but i still managed to take to pictures of the whole plant. :)

Now all are hanging to dry and hope to place them into jars by the end of the week.  Sadly, i did spot a few seeds and think that most of the plants have suffered in that respect.  Nonetheless the buds are rock solid and there will be plenty of smokeable material. :)

The magic butter machine arrived and hope to make some tincture and oils with the lower buds anyway.  They seem to be the more affected ones.

I've also made a few clones and hope to keep the Sweet Cheese FV 2, cause i plan to put some clones outside - I always wanted some outdoor cheese. :naughty:

Hope you enjoyed the final update of the Fast lot. :v: There are few days left before i'll be chopping the first plants from the tent, but there are a few of them that will require about 9,5 weeks.

Wow weeee what stunning shots of the green poison and cheese. Top growing buddy. Proper porno Arnold.

Random question matey. Will you pick out the seeds and keep them for last resort rainy day?  Would they be prone to Hermie again?

Also good luck with the MB machine it's so easy to use and clean. I've done 3 loads so far and it's doddle. With regards the tincture I did 30g to 500ml and 40g to 500ml and both was quite similar. I'd listen to flower weight in the book.

Thanks buddy and can't wait to try out the machine! :) I read a method about decarboxilating without smell - sous-vide in boiling water, but takes a little longer.  I'll be using BIO Weingeist – Ethylalkohol – Alkohol 96% for the tincture and probably coconut oil for the oil making - What you think?

About the seeds - I won't be keeping them for growing.  As fas as I'm aware, they carry the hermie gene and don't want that trait in any future plants.  I might keep those seeds put on a salad or something. lol Healthy to eat them.

I only spotted the hermie issue on one of the Gorilla Girls FV and one of the Chrystal Candy FV and don't think i will grow them indoors anymore for now, but i will use the remaining seeds of both and grow them outside.

To decrab I've been using the box that come with it. It's easy quick, just smell leaks and my Mrs goes mental, to point of being emotional which isn't good. Works great though. 45 mins done.  I can't be standing next to oil for hours it's not safe for tbh. I wil have to end up buying a electoric oven and stick in the shed, see if it works. I got my eye on one for £50.

I've done two tincture runs as stated above and one MCT oil run.  (MCT oil is like coconut oil, it just stays liquid at room temp). In my MCT run I did 90g bud to approx 1000ml and it's good. I have tablespoon at 5pm after work n by 7pm chill as fuck. I prefer the tincture but daily dosing with that was little ermm alcoholic. So MCT is my weekday and tincture on the weekends. Good mix.

@KC I think has done ethnol run

Thanks for the tipps. :yep:  I have ordered some MCT oil based from coconut and some alcohol.  Think i will have enough buds to do both. :) Can't wait to try my first gin/tincture tonic. :hippy:

Thanks budds, I'm quite satisfied myself.  Wasn't all perfect, but certainly good enough and managed to go over the g/watt target.  Test results coming up in a few weeks. :)

Onto the harvest of the Sweet Zenzation and Red Hot Cookies.  I managed to chop them last night at exactly 65 days of flowering. :D   I could have pulled them a few days earlier, but don't think it really hurt to leave them a few more days then planned.

A few shots in the tent.  Here is most of the Sweet Seeds lot at 65 days.  I am now flushing all the plants with plain tap water.

It was realativ easy job to trim them at the end, cause they had a relative high bud to leaf ratio - took me about 30min per plant.  I'll be drying them in a seperate tent with cf for about a week and then start the curing process, which should take about month.

I've had a few samples of the fast batch from the bonanza and first impressions are good, except that i have a found a few seeds already...  ah well... will need to be vigilant when grinding buds and rolling joints.
In roughly a week, I'll be chopping the remaining plants in the tent and perhaps a few autos as well.  Black Jack and Psicodelicia are left in the tent.

Hope you enjoyed the update!

It takes roughly a year for my grinder to fill with scuff.   Now, i got a herbal press a few years ago, in order to... you guessed it - press the scuff into a puck, which can easily be transported. :yep:

large_226.jpg

I clean out the grinder using plastic tools, as i don't want to leave scratch marks on the grinder.  I also use a small paint brush, which isn't on the picture.

large_227.jpg

I have a tipp for any herbal press owner.  In order to avoid the scuff sticking to the press - I've been using baking paper cut outs.

If you like to guess the weight of the puck. ;)  Answer is written at the end of post.

large_228.jpg

I hope to do an update on the autos later today.

Top work buddy. Really like your press may look into one myself. Expensive?

Also how do you used your pressed pollen?

Tidy looking space and real nice selection going on, you'll be sorted as self sufficient for ages with this lot!

Shame about the males but looks like you came out on top.

Good luck in the comp and sweet smokes!

Thanks! I had a look at your grow and you didn't do bad at all.  In fact, your plants looked real good.  Enjoy the smoke. ;) SAD is real nice and Dosweetdos as well.

I think i paid about 40euros for the press about 5 years ago.  Not quite sure how much they are now.

The pressed pollen is really nice to take when traveling.  3g will last me quite a while during trips.  Saves me the hassle of looking for stuff.   I usually break it up and crumble it into joints.  The scuff doesn't like roasting much.

Thanks, dov1! This grow should last a while and will take a break for a few weeks, before starting the next grow. ;)   I do have a few seeded buds, but i'm looking forward to making tincture and oil with the seeds stuff.
