The Light Deprivation Society.

Some amazing LD growing going on these days.

Producing beautiful, stunning, exotic, and flavoursome plants.

Grown in the the great outdoors UK...

So I thought it'd be a good idea to start a thread dedicated to those who are able to deprive their plants of light outdoors for 12 hours a day...

We are the... Light Deprivation Society.

These are examples of my first year doing LD.

Hey @Punta Roja.. cool idea for a thread!

I been doing light dep since the first year I started growing! Patience is not one of my virtues! Started googling how to make weed flower faster and BOOM..light dep madness started..genuine magic it is!

I’ll get some photos up tomorrow coz I’m stoned like a stone now!

Congrats on your fine plants buddy!

Seen them before, but they’re still just as beautiful!

:D

Great thread but you need to tell people (me) how to deprive the light. Big dustbin over the top? or sheeting? moving them into a shed etc, how are you doing it?

I have done it on the terrace with a dustbin over the top and worked well - i think i got a couple oz of nice outside undr the sun a year or two ago.  Old problem is remembering to take it off in the morning and put it on in the eve.

I do it in my shed. Bin works as well, sheeting too... as long as it's light proof and you can maintain 12 hours dark you're doing it.

also you can do it this way.........put them in the dark about 18.00 hours till dark.....when its completely dark outside...you can put them in the night again.....

in this manner....the plants do not get wet...and the wind gets in the plants again.......if they are in a small place...

=================

or take the times of sunrise + 12 hours.....and thats the time you put them in the dark at night....

for me.....i give outdoor plants the first 3 weeks 12 hours of light and after that 13 hours light every day.

so i do time of sunrise+13 hours is time of dark.........till it it completely dark outside.....( sunset plus 1 hours in most cases...)

Rule of thumb for me is around 50 days before the Solstice to maximise the daylight hours... of course you can sow earlier for an earlier harvest.

Last year I sowed the seeds on the 1st of May and cropped the 27th July... no less than 90g a plant.

ATB with your GG mate.
