Never been caught GGing but have been bringing it home. Luckily it was a small amount of wet bud from a seeded plant. The police said the stopped and searched the area because of the smell. That resulted in house search were I had 8 plant's in veg. I got evicted from the house because of a tenancy breach. Lesson is don't have a grow at your house while harvesting outdoor plant's.

This is exactly why I started this post. Thanks for the info. 

Its so easy to get carried away by the excitement of growing. I think its important for Noobs like me to have a healthy dose of reality check.

So were you busted on your way home, parked by the plot or were they waiting for you at yout gaff? 

Was it an urban, suburban grow ir out in the stix?

I was dusted on my way to my girlfriend at the time's house. I was walking along field's about 1000yrs+ away from a road and the police said they dived past smelled it and searched the area because of the smell. 

 

The grow was in a are between a town and small village all farm land but fairly busy roads a few fields away though.

 

The house had 8 small plants but as I lived in another county to the 1 I was caught if I had to be dealt with by 2 police forces. First dropped the possession charge and a knife I used to chop the plant to hand me over to Cleveland police to deal with the cultivation charge. I was cautioned for cultivation of 8 plant's for personal use. The biggest problem was loosing my house for breach of tenancy. 

 

Yes I still grow outdoor. Here is a few pic's from this year's season. You can't just let people tell you you can't do something with the only reason being it's against the law.

Had a fuck load of plants stolen Guerilla growing - not one problem with pigs in a decade. Drones are cunts basically - It is getting harder and harder, especially with copter and drone cams being 4k resolution these days - easier to spot plants if you have the eye for it.

Interesting topic  

 

If I was going to be an outdoors man, then I would want a set of clothing that is specifically for that purpose and I wouldn't bring it back with me.  Old shit that's worn out etc (change of clothes in backpack for the return) and a dog, need a dog because a dog is good to have and can be an alarm system before you get there, also an excuse for being there because the little bugger 'run off' of course.  Then there's the drones   Well I don't know much about air rifles and carrying them nowadays etc but they can be shot down, doesn't matter if it's plods or not, it goes down if it's a security risk and it also gets the information ripped out...Hmm, maybe there's a two in one there and a gun dog that's trained to get things that's been shot out of the sky is the dog to have, saves having to go searching around for it as the dog is exactly bred for that purpose and a bit of training would soon work out I would imagine.

 

However if plot has been compromised and no drone but intelligence gathered this is difficult, trail cams en route, specific one way access, look for broken twigs or undergrowth, anything that isn't as it should be means backing away.  Be good to have your own drone too, perhaps a recon before you go too far in just to have look yourself first.

 

I dunno, all supposition but you got to think like they would think and how would you do it if you were plod ripping grows and wanting to collar folks.

 

Easier said than done, but always think with logic and not get emotionally connected to the grow

Dogs are good for piss - same as humans, will scare off a lot of animals just be the scent of presence.... In my experience though, it's best to be hidden in plain sight much like Panik does for example... If you try to be all stealth or put up security barriers like a dog - people will clock on and it's usually gangs selling weed who literally set out to find grows etc more so than pigs, council workers and wondererers. At least from my experiences. I have fucked off 100+ plants on an outdoor due to threat - it is part of the game unfortunately.
