good morning fellow stoners. 

i checked my tent and humidity is at 89% at lights out due to the air out fan being off due to the noise. 

i thought it was as ive seen the starting of a few brown pistils, so im thinking the due from the high humidity is making the buds wet, then a lights on its burning off, drying out the hairs on the buds. 

im gonna have to wrap up the fan more and have it on at 24/7. 

il be buying a new fan/filter with a speed controller soon. when this crops ready. so il have to make do for now.

Have you got any room to manouvre with your temps?  I noticed my humidity was rising in the dark period so upped my temp to 25 (my numbers are irrelevant to your grow) and it worked at treat - (think it went from 21 to 25) which brought humidity down from 60 ish to lower 50s?

 

Just as well as I'm typing as I couldn't get  the words out with how much your pics are making me salivate

i can try and bring temps up higher, but its sat at 24c now at lights of with 89% humidity. 

il have to run the fan longer dude, as it will cause bud rot with big buds like there getting now, plenty of them now there drinking loads every few days in 11l pots. i leave them sat in small amount of run off till the pots weigh a ton.

Right I'm ducking down below my desk here and going to put my neck out and say raise the temp to what your lights on temps are, I'm not convinced it'll give you the drop you need though.  How are your heaters rigged - on a thermostat?  I'd also consider a couple of PC fans strategically placed (mines blows up and under the pots (but I've only got a tiny space) on a 4 gang with your heater, so when heater clicks on pc fans are shed load quieter than any pedestal/extractor and it'll keep the air circulating.

i was thinking of having my fan blowing on the plants at lights out mate, il try that, see if it helps. 

i run a oil rad set to come on at 23c , its 24c so its not coming on. il try upping it to 26c. i like a good 10c drop in temps tho at lights out, to increase resin production.

You are asking for trouble. Run your extractor fan dude. Not only bud rot but if temps are low enough powdery mildew can rear its ugly head.

Yeah I think the same. Its so dangerous at this stage. I would keep it on AND may add a lil fan as well.

Anyway really nice plant smokie.. and its the small one?!

yeah your rite i had powdery mildue on the leafs of my last crop. not loads but the odd white blob on top of the fan leafs. 

im going to run it all night and see how the noise is. i am blowing my 5 inch outlet ducting into a 10 inch rhino pro.  as my small c/filter failed on me. i came home n smelt it strait away. 

now i go out, come back from the shops, and cant even smell the bud ive smoked in my house anymore the big filter is scrubbing the air a treat. 

good thing about blowing into this big filter, is the whooshing noise cant be heard anymore.. just the fan, but ive wrapped a few pillows around it.  

that shut up the noise a good 50%  

my humidity will drop to around 55% at lights out with the extractor fan on i think, well hope.  il report back in here how it grows tomorrow. with me luck all that it's quiet enough. 

yeah @G_lab she is the small one mate.  the bigger one is at the top of this page, i only took pics of the small one the other day, il try and get the big one out for a photo shoot. ive put loads of bamboo canes in them to hold them up as there getting heavy.

Do you have a fan speed control ? You can run your fan at 50% and its much quieter and will still do the job of keeping the airflow. Adjust it to where you need it. Plants are looking good !

i havn't got a voltage stepper controller anymore, i left it at a grow. 

my fan im using has 2 speeds tho, im running it on the first setting, its a 5inch prima klima. 

i have just took a few pics of the bigger em dog, il upload them soon mate, getting huge. 

il run the fan all night and see how it is mate. thanks for the advice and the comments.

here she is @G_lab and @Cantharellus it's the bigger em dog of the 2. i managed to get her out the tent for some bud porn.   

mission getting her back in, i deffo be updating with pictures from inside the tent for the rest of the grow show. 

here are the pics i just took. at day 35 of 12/12 since i flipped the flower switch. big old furry buds on this one. deffo more sativa dominant compared to the smaller bushy phenotype

shame about the yellowing leafs, but im now giving myco chum @ 1ml per liter, and 2ml fish mix per liter. im going to up the fish mix to 3ml next feed see how they grow. i don't want to burn them, as fish mix can be hot in flower i think more so than grow ? anyone used fish mix for flowering, got any advice please. respect. 

here are the last 3 pics of the big furry em dog girl. smells skunky this one now, with a hashy smell in there.

i have some bloom feed at last. im going to feed them with 3ml of bloom. and half a ml fish mix per liter. and see how they grow, if ok, i up it to 4ml bloom where il stay at 4ml till week 8, then just water for a week and take them down bang on week 9. the amherst sour diesel will probs go 10 weeks flower, as she is a proper sativa pheno. 

very og kush looking they are with the long white hairs all over the buds. the og kush clone used in the em dog is known as the crippy in la. crossed with chemdog#4.

the breeder of dr greenthumbs em dog kief sweat, is supposed to be a great cooker of canna genetics. and i can see looking at these so far that there going to be great yieders, just hope the taste is there, as i love my tasty/ fruity strains.

well i have sorted out the air outlet fan now. so its running 24/7 so no high humidity at lights out i hope. its been about 50% last night, and night before. 

these buds are getting bigger every time i water i think f in hell.  

il get pics in about a week took and uploaded. here is a pic of how she looked a few days back. the smaller pheno has more buds than this one. but more dense, and not as long, more indica dominant the smaller one is compared to this one below.

It looks like I'm coming back in just at the right time and my break has definitely seen those buds explode 

 

Through reading I was getting concerned about the high humidity which now is much lower and sounds to be under control 

 

With black dog producing super densely structured buds and humidity close to 90% this was an open invitation to bud rot and the like which would have been a real shame this close to harvest

 

From what I'm seeing black dog can be ready from day 56 more realistically 60 days with Amherst going 70-80 days so you will have a staggered harvest

 

I'm really please to read that humidity is now down to 50% which is good if you could get to 40-45% this would be even better
