I was thinking of including them as companion plants with some of my grows! Have you tried it? They are meant to be great plants for that, also I figure it would give some awesome deer protection... Especially my chillies i read a link someone posted that said chillis can put off rabbits and deer, even the leaves are maybe enough to make them think twice...maybe send them down the road a bit (hopefully not straight to your weed plants to get rid of the taste lol). Might try it but if i dig a hole at a plot then i wanna put a plant plant in there i'm really not that observant but noticed that one of my chilli isn't like the others, bit of a lucky 3 leafer, on a Yellow 7 Pot from the Bee seeds Edited April 30, 2017 by Blunt_Wit
flighty
Ha I won't be wasting any holes in chilli plants either! Them 7 pots are really nice and good producers too, one of my most reliable chillies.
jadenugs
I haven't heard of the 7 pot til now. Just had a read on chilli pepper madness site and it says they are very similar to the Trinidad scorpion. Tried germing some of those in Feb and they never germed. Bit late to try some more, no greenhouse!
flighty
@jadenugs I don't think they're as hot as the scorpions, and they grow well and always give me ripe fruit in the gh. They should do really well in a South or west facing window too, just keep them in a 1l pot to limit their size.
flighty
Dinafem beans have been put to germ Critical Jack, critical cheese, critical+ and PAK. The critical+2 will be going into a different plot.

flighty
I've been out this morning and put all the seeds in their nursery/outdoor propagator skiing with a few others that are going into that plot One of the critical Jack looked like a duff seed and a PAK had the very tip of its tap root broken, we'll have to see if they do anything??? Let's hope this works!

flighty
@jadenugs have a look for local chilli festivals or specialist shops, most of them will sell seedlings or fully grown plants at the right time of year.

I've just put 5 more scorpion seeds in to germ. Do you reckon they'll be too late to mature, or ok in a GH?
