Even if I was to dig I'd wait til just before plantout rather than turn the soil nowish. Nows the time to be carving out yer max security tunnels & bramble patch plots before the little birdies turn up & start to raise a family. It's a squat, head down, arms in and prey you don't lose too much blood kinda route! There are some things around there that I could use to catch water with and rabbit shit everywhere, so there's some ferts! It's not to overgrown so i don't think it will be chopped this year. at the back of the plot in the picture there is a wall of brambles that i made an attempt to get through but didn't get to far. bushdoc Posted January 27, 2017 Share Posted January 27, 2017 I used to work on the power lines and when we cleared them we would cut a 4 metre box around them which should theoretically mean they wouldn't need clearing again for 4 years, although I'm sure they get checked yearly by someone so it's possible you could get away with it if your timing is right but quite likely to be spotted I think. 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

To be honest I have some hacks that I can risk losing so I'm in I think. I'm not going to plant directly under the power lines, off to the side a little, so the risk of death should be minimized E2a: just seen your reply @bushdoc, cheers for the input. I'm going to get in the brambles away from the lines just to be a little more discreet. The plot is great, it's ten mins from my house, it's got houses about 300 metres away but clearly no one goes into the bushes. I found an old abandoned outhouse/greenhouse which I can probably store stuff in, again, if it gets lost, so be it. I think I should be able to get a grow done without discovery.
