Flintstone
Hey folks, 1st ever grow! Here is my plot entrance. Next to a clearing beneath a tree. Carved a passage through the brambles to the intended plot. Intended plot was in a low spot with too many obstructions to the south. Whats behind the gorse? Climbed the tree at the plot entrance to see what was beyond the gorse to the South. Looks promising! Let's go that way! Gorse was more forgiving than the brambles and made my way in! 20ft of gorse and undergrowth negotiated and here's the exit wound! Here's the new plot location. About 20ft x 30ft of big, burley brambles! Atleast 300 strong I'd say!! This would have stopped the Persians at the Battle of Thermopylae! Going to be a bloodbath but plenty of Southern sky as a reward! Made a dent! I'd say maybe a quarter cleared! I'm looking like a 2nd hand dartboard at this point! A look back to the North at the Gorse exit into the plot. Fork went down nicely into the soil. Lots of leaf mould and moss about. Soil looks good, like top soil from my Garden. I'd say 4-6 more hours of bramble clearing and I should be onto the fun stuff! All teh breast, Flintstone. Yabba Dabba Doo! KayDog
I wish a lot of growers "good luck", but with you I really, really, wish you a serious shit-load of great, positive Karma with a boat-load of luck. Anyone with the balls and spine to do so much work deserves a bountiful harvest. I hope the sun shines beautifully for you with just enough rain - and no bugs or mould. I've got my fingers crossed for you it all works out! I'd especially love a diary, if you feel you can manage one. I think others here would love that, too. All the best for 2017. I may make a diary, seen as this is my 1st grow and then I can use it to improve upon mistakes for 2018's grow.
KayDog
Not only that, a diary will give other, experienced growers a chance to help you.
