The last film I watched was the original Predator which was on tv last night. I haven't watched it for years and was surprised at how good it was. It still stands up today as a fucking good action horror movie.

I really couldn't fault it, great cast, great special effects loads of suspense and gore. people take the piss out of Schwarzenegger's acting talents but he was at his peak when this film was made and had real presence.

I liked that back in those days they made proper 18 rated films for adults and it wasn't all toned down 12 and 15 rated sanitzed stuff to get younger audiences into the cinemas.

One scene that stuck with me was after Jessie Ventura's character gets killed, his mate Mac (played by Bill Duke) grieving for his dead buddy is talking to him as if he is still there, reminiscing about past battles, then he gets this completely deranged look in his eye and is whispering ''You know who ever got you. They'll come back again. And when he does I'm gonna cut your name right into him... I'M GONNA CUT YOUR NAME RIGHT INTO HIM!''

You don't get many lines like that in mainstream action films these days.

Billy: I'm scared Poncho.

Poncho: Bullshit. You ain't afraid of no man.

Billy: There's something out there waiting for us, and it ain't no man. We're all gonna die.

9/10 extremely well executed action horror. Great stuff

The Addiction~Abel Ferrera 1995

www.stagevu.com/video/ucingvewwdtd

9-10

This is the best vampire movie I think I have ever seen, not overly graphic or violent it explores philosophical issues and human behaviour in a way which left me thinking "are we the Vampires"?

Chris Walken has a small part but it is worth watching the film for that alone, and if you have ever listened to J.M.T Rap music you will recognise loads of sampled quotes in the movie :fear:

Last film I watched at the cinema was Inception and I thought it was good fun for a big blockbuster, a 6.5/10 for me.

Last film I watched on tv/laptop was A Serbian Film and I'm still not sure what to make of it or how to rate it. It's not really the sort of film I want to watch again to make up my mind about either. A definite  out of 10.

-2Hi

If that's the only type of thing you can contribute to the thread dude, i'd rather you didn't bother.

Human Centipede

Pretty messed up and quite funny, not a good film by any means, just a

bit of fun.

Dvd: Moon, staring same rockwell and a small voice part for kevin spacey. Enjoyed it immensely. Sam rockwell is brilliant as a lone working miner on the moon. Suspenseful at the begining with a real point to make about what it is to be/what makes up human. Great movie, could have been a tiny bit better so will give it an 8.

Cinema: Scott pilgrim. Edgar wright is a hero of mine and as this was his 'hollywood debut' and first film for a while sans simon pegg and nick frost was looking forward to it with baited breath. Wasn't disappointed. Solid 9.

Last cinema film I saw was Shrek 4 a couple of months ago.

We thought it would be a good bit of stoned fun and was the first 3D film I've been to.

A fucking big sack of wank. Not very funny, shit storyline, tired characters. Sat through the whole thing with these big chunky 3d glasses perched uncomfortably over my normal glasses and there were fuck all decent 3D effects to speak of.

Bunch of arse 3/10
