Hey.

Bit the bullet and ordered a Bellevue Flueless Gas Fire, i will get it fitted into the anti room of the groom hopefully.

They run at 100% efficiency and cost 4.2p per hour to run on the low 1.3 kw setting according to the web site ( i checked the calcs with my own tariff) so 50p a day if on 12hrs, no brainer when leccy is 14.3 p per hour.

The surviving cuttings i took of the ice cream are still green and look healthy enough but no roots yet! 17 days is a long time to root is it not lol

Full update with pics this coming wednesday.

Later folks.

Things coming along nicely now with flowers forming nicely.

There eating and drinking nicely taking 20l of nutes every 2 days, i have them sat at Ec 0.8, ph is set to 6.0 and drifts down to 5.5 ish in those 2 days.

My gas fire arrived today just need to get it fitted up now as temps are getting down to 12c lights out.

Day 40 12/12

Day 25 flower

Not a great deal going on, there just doing there thing and fattening up like good girls.

There a wee bit over fed i think at Ec 0.9, i will lower that next feed.

Some of the leaves are a little ragged i put that down to low lights off temps, more on that next update as we started hanging a gas fire in there tnite.

Some in the centre directly under the light got a bit burned but not much i can do with these as light is at max hight now, its a good 18 inch above so idk maybe as i have had my pedestal fan off while its been cold did it.

All through this grow i have had no heating, only thing i have done is keep the res temps above 18c. The lights on rarely gets above 17c off as low as 11c.

Wether having heating in would of made a difference idk but the seem fine overall lol

Hopefully in a few days i wont have this problem.

definately slowing down the metabolism and stretching the internodes with your temp problems.

Other than that...are you sure you are burning at 0.9 e.c?

Experiment over.

Checked tonight and the Ec had risen to 1.0.

This proved it for me that they had stopped eating at those temps.

Added a bucket @ 0.8 ec (20 lr)

Online to buy oil rad, cant wait for my gas fire to get plumbed. lol

Happy Sleeps folks

Edit:

@@paradiseseeds

Forgot to add my water is unreadable so taken as zero for mineral content.

Starting at 18 indoors your plants will experience metabolic slow down.

correct me if i am wrong...but 1 e.c is 500 ppm (at 0.5 conversion factor?)

To get an EC value, multiply the ppm reading by 2 and divide by 1000.

Thus, if your EC is 1:

1*1000/2= 500 ppm.

And if your ppm is 500:

500*2/1000= 1 EC
