nibblebit
Hi Jim, i'm just skimming your diary here coz i'm planning on a Taiga or two after current grow, Amazing Buds ! I'm growing in compost/vermi/perli, any advice on nutes for the Taigas ? I'm only on my second grow and i use 0.25ml per L of biosilicon for first few feeds then just PM OT bloom after that. I like the look of the Night Queens. Right, gonna rewind and read the diary properly, i'm curious about the marbling on the leaves of TD #1 Cheers m8, nibs. Organic Jim
I'm growing in compost/vermi/perli, any advice on nutes for the Taigas ? Hiya Nibs, Sorry mate, I grew mine Hydro in coco coir so I couldn't really say for compost. Just follow the OldTimer instructions, I'm sure he knows best. Good luck with your grow. Organic Jim
Hiya folks, the recent heatwave has been playing merry hell with the loft grow. My temps have been over 1000 for a few days running, hopefully things will be back to normal this week. The plants have gone into the 6L pots to try to keep them from drying out. I have also decided to do the underneath trimming as they are much bigger than I imagined they would be! I am planning on moving them into the bigger tent along with the 125mm fan and parabolic too. I want to do this later today and hopefully get some photos done too, as Mrs.Jim has had the camera in her bag for ages and I've only just got my grubby mitts on it again. Meanwhile, here is a smoke report from the beautiful Ms.P. my dazzling assistant. Think Different I first tried this without knowing what it was called and was pleased to discover that for me, it has been a slow burning, transcendent effect without you ever feeling like you may have been bludgeoned over the head with a blunt instrument. It is more like being lightly bunted over the head with a soft beanbag, in slow motion. The resulting high is pleasant and functional. I was able to watch a topical news programme (and remember it!)but also found that the "Thinking Different came into beautiful effect at this juncture- when some of the darker, more sinister World news became overwhelmingly sad, I simply changed channel to something more uplifting rather than stoically forcing myself to sit and view and stew on the latest human atrocities overseas like I usually do. So, yes there were some different thoughts going on and some quite liberating ones too. Overall I would say this is an aptly named, smooth little Smoko. 'Nice' in just about every way. Thank You Ms.P. More with photos later chaps.

Organic Jim
This is 3 weeks of 12/12, 21 days and they're looking very happy. Sadly, one of the cuttings has perished in the high heat. Never mind...the cuttings taking was a bonus, onwards and upwards chaps. Jim

Organic Jim
They look really gorgeous Jim Leaves have a nice shine to them. atb, nibs. Cheers Nibs, they really are lovely and dark and shiny eh? Here's Night Queen plants D and C. at DAY 26 of 12/12 The pH pen broke down completely but the EC meter returned to normal after the high heat passed. So now I'm using bloom booster (Hesi PK13/14) and Vitalink bloom to EC 1.8, and not correcting pH at all. They seem to like that. Tent temperature is 26 today. Plant D honks of rotten lemons and overpowers all the others right now, which smell of fine weed. If this is week 4, then by the end my smell filter will be working hard. Enough waffle, here's the pics. Cheers chaps, I'll get more up at the W/E hopefully. Jim Edited August 3, 2012 by Organic Jim
Organic Jim
This is 2.5g of dry sift hash I made today from 3/4 oz of roughly ground Think Different buds, a small cafetiere, a bit of Sari fabric and a rubber band! I shook it for about 6 or 7 minutes in 3 shifts so it was just starting to let bits of red hairs through. I have saved the rest to butane out the goodness. Smokes lovely and smooth with a great hashish taste like sweet piney spice! Lights easily (doesn't melt at all), holds an ember and is tasty and is like having 3 pipes of bud at once! Good weekend to you all Jim Edited August 3, 2012 by Organic Jim

Cheers, nibs. Here you go mate, I used a 1L jar this time, same weed I sieved before. (Remove the lid) Get a piece of sari fabric (or similar) over the top and secure it tight with the rubber band Shake like billy-o for a minute or 10 This is after 2 mins with previously shaken bud.
