dotcotton
Welcome Dot's Sweet Brew Black Jack, Jack 47, SAD S1 Hello and Welcome to my first ever grow, Up until a couple of months ago, I have had little to no experience with growing plants. Since embarking on my quest for the best, I have had untold number of problems with my grow. So instead of packing it in, I have decided to start a diary in the hope that some of you seasoned growers can get me through this. At the very least, I hope that my diary will be of help to other beginners, but I also look forward to engaging with the great community here at UK420. So, where to start? Previous threads seeking help can be found here: https://www.uk420.com/boards/index.php?showtopic=283480&st=0&p=2970815&fromsearch=1entry2970815 https://www.uk420.com/boards/index.php?showtopic=285309&st=0&p=3000647&fromsearch=1entry3000647 So far I have germinated 9 seeds: 3x SS Jack 47 2x SS Black Jack 2x SS SAD S1 1x Northern Lights X Skunk#1 (Attitude Freebie) 1x Indica Viper (Attitude Freebie) Five of the above have either died or didn't germ. dotcotton
4th February (no pics) Jack 47 - 51 days from seed BJ#1, BJ#2 & SAD - 30 days from seed The first two to three days of being in the Wilma, the plants grew vigorously. Then they just stopped, I pulled BJ#2 out to inspect what was gong on and found a large taproot forming (about 6 inches long). The next day BJ#2 started to look really rough. Obviously didn't like me uprooting it, and looked ready to die. The other plants weren't growing and were showing minor signs of nute burn. I thought best to give them time. 10 days later (4th Feb) I noticed that the EC had climbed from 1.2 to 1.5. All of them apart from BJ#1 had shown little in the way of growth. Some searching lead me to believe that I had been over ferting. I commenced with a res change (a real pain in the arse): EC 0.9 PH 5.5

dotcotton
9th Feb 2011 - Really slow growth Jack 47 - 56 days from seed BJ#1, BJ#2, SAD - 35 days from seed All plants looking a little pale, really picked up for a day or two after the last res change but again very slow growth (apart from BJ#1 which is growing like mad). EC has climbed from 0.9 to 1.0 but I have read that this will happen as the plants equalise with the res. Some pics, looking crap at the moment because of WB, will work on this for future updates (also need to figure out how to attach large images to post). dotcotton
So any thoughts on why I may be experiencing such slow growth and what can be done about it? Feel free to ask any questions in case I've left something out. Dot Edited February 10, 2012 by dotcotton

Saddam
Hi Dot Try setting your timer to water 15 minutes every hour while lights are on and no watering when lights are off. 15 minutes every 4 hours isn't enough for clay pebbles imo. Hope this helps m8. sincerely Saddam eta- If you look at BJ#1.. the hose is quite close to the root-zone. Now look at where the hose is for BJ#2 and SAD, it's not watering your roots, just the side of the pot. Move the hoses so they're aimed at the roots and adjust your timer. Good luck m8.
