Their really easy to breed but the future breeding from them can have genetic problems. Breeding triploids for the sake of sales is pretty pointless & stupid though. That would just be a marketing strategy. Like all things triploids need to be selected so your still getting a lot of shit come through possibly more then with normal seeds. Hi Brock, I've been interested a lot lately regarding triploid ganja plants and wouldn't mind getting hold of some "if" they are stable. What you say has put me off a bit for now and I know very little on the subject but as I understand the triploid plants cannot be bred from as they are sterile hence the seedless appeal. Thanks for mentioning your thoughts and I hope to find out more on this topic. The triploids do excite me a lot if somebody can convince in quality I'd pay the price. Going to sit on the sideline and watch for a while. Peace.

I believe there might be some auto in it somewhere down the line. I've not heard much about Sexbud KC what's the smoke like please (if you've sampled yet). Thanks. All the other ones I've done have been banging though. All of them bar one have been very similar, definitely not a couch lock, more of an upper (its a rework of c99). I can't tell you how many I've done over the years as I've lost count, they're just reliable and cheap so I don't generally bother with cuts, although sometimes I have regretted that. My first one and my third one stand out. I can't recall the first one only that I loved it, the third one was like lavender. I've always topped them but they make absolutely huge colas which I love. I might have a pic of one somewhere....i'll have a look I did have some trouble when I took cuts a few times with them refusing to stay in veg, I think the auto down the line causes that. I know @McHazy hates this strain with a passion, I think he was just unlucky though. Edited January 24 by KC extra info 1

They will still cross & in most cases produce ploidy seeds & normal seeds mixed. I have some laying around somewhere that I made last year from a teraploid SHD / BlackBerry gum x SHD Diploid. They should be fem triploid seeds. I think I only ended up with 3 seeds. I will dig them out & germinate them tonight.

I have recently read about triploids, namely HSC Og. I have also seen another firm or two offering these. All the best with your seeds. I have a few vars which have auto on one side of the cross which can like you say pop up in some examples. I have something with frosted skywalker which can apparently show auto tendency. Great reply mate thanks. Peace.

Mental and inevitable and for the average grower I imagine a massive breakthrough. Need to research further but the purist canna lover in me just don't agree. From the realists point of view I love bananas, probably my favourite fruit and my understanding is any commercially available banana is triploid? Having eaten non molested jungle grown bananas at a roadside in Thailand (short, far and red) I'd say they're not an improvement in quality only convenience (autos and fast versions?) Random example I know but once you know you know I say this after just purchasing the most modified genetics I could find in the search for a fast harvest tho Hope your well brother!! Autos and fast versions are not the type of ploidy that banana's, strawberries, ect have. Auto's have a missing gene in the chromosome sequence instead of pairs. Their a aneuploid breeding which to my knowledge is only activated through inbreeding to much.
