They are under a 150 blue CFL and I expect their nature has a bearing too. I'm happy though, they're manageable. First try at cutting the CF with the chop saw resulted in multiple fractures and splitting... pfffft!! Light bulb moment... heat shrink the pole first then cut it. It worked, I've glued the connections and double heat shrinked. Fingers crossed it'll hold, maybe find out later today.
