@Larry Badgeley Cheers mate, yes they are squat for their age. They are under a 150 blue CFL and I expect their nature has a bearing too.

I'm happy though, they're manageable. Not long now before I throw the switch...

Have a good'un.

I really struggled to get pipe to fit the connectors... Then one day I was walking back from the shop and I saw this in a skip.

Couple of grands worth of broken CF fishing pole.

OD looks interesting... Light bulb goes on so I pinch it and hurry home.

It fitted... then... realisation... it's fucking tapered.

Another light bulb moment... heat shrink? build up the OD.

First try at cutting the CF with the chop saw resulted in multiple fractures and splitting... pfffft!!

Light bulb moment... heat shrink the pole first then cut it.

It worked, I've glued the connections and double heat shrinked.

Fingers crossed it'll hold, maybe find out later today.

watch yourself with that carbon fibre dust, its not good for you.

System is looking great, i have a question, are  you gonna add some upstand pipes from the bottom 90 fittings /flooms once you know the water/nutrient depth?

i would.

i hope that carbon/ heatshrink pipes hold?

@badbillybob I know mate, I only had six cuts seven including the first one which destroyed the pole.

Inspired by the polythene silent cistern inlet pipe...

I'm fairly confident it'll hold...
