Oh come on don't be silly.

Not sure if this is sarcasm. If it is I will cease....

I'm questioning your statement and asking for evidence.

Living in France, I'm not sure a French policeman will.be quite happy with a Brit toking away with his UK prescribed weed.....  Perhaps you know better or perhaps I'm being 'silly' for asking....

I'm laughing because the EU doesn't need to have an agreement with the UK especially those like myself (fuck you basically) who are EU nationals.

I'm confused as to what point you are trying to.make. anyway, it is of little concern to me so I'm out. Happy new year....

Whilst it's true the consultations jack the price up, £150 for 30g of potentially 22% THC medicinal grade weed (sterile for those that need it) is a good deal.

Think about it. Whilst the chances of you getting busted and going to court may seem slim, they represent significant costs, both financial and emotional.

If this legal route works for you then all power to you. You can walk around with a vapouriser without fear of arrest and help to reduce the social stigma from using this stuff medicinally by being able to be open about your use.

Plus you should be able to travel around Europe with your medicine.

I suppose cost is subjective and what’s expensive to one is not to another. I just know I couldn’t afford those prices.

I accept my prescription is costly but not to the same level with oil being my now preferred consumption method.

being “legal” has definitely taken some weight off my mind, no longer needing to look over my shoulder or buying laced medication.!

I’m not sure what the law is on travelling with it, certainly something i need to look into but probably not for some time thanks to Covid

I'm a medical user/grower who is currently struggling after being robbed off all my gear & stash and now being taken to court.

What is the best way to get myself a card to sort me out with some decent oil and a bit of backup in court? Sapphire is one company that keeps popping up - any good? Whats the turnaround times?

I may be wrong, but I thought if you had a Schengen certificate signed by your GP stating that the medicine you're carrying is for your own/or your child's use, and you're in a Schengen country, then you'll be exempt from prosecution for simple possession?  Smoking cannabis in public may be another matter though.

We're not in the EU anymore, but there are several non-EU countries within the Schengen agreement and I'm not 100% sure the UK and Ireland have opted out.

I think a UK or Irish citizen may be able to use Schengen in EU but an EU citizen might not be able to use it here now. :)   I'll have to look into it.

No idea but my mate has just got into the scheme so I will ask him. But I have already told him on visits to me to travel with nothing and not take the risk.

Woud be interesting that a non EU and non Schengen country citizen having such rights....

Never were in Schengen.  Hence border controls. Funny they were never used to keep tabs else we might have a avoided some of the current madness but that is for another section which I avoid

UK and Ireland opted out years ago. For example, a Schengen visa was not applicable for entry into UK prior to trans end. We of course left the EU a year ago.

Would be interesting to see what can be done. I’m going to ask my specialist at the next consultation, although I’m probably thinking it will be only particular places you can travel with it even proscribed medication like that.

I know I can only take the doses I need and a small contingency of my opioids depending on the destination

Interesting. How so? Does the UK have an agreement with the EU for this.

It was New Year blues sorry.

I'm not sure what impact leaving the EU will have. There are certain countries within the EU that I'd be more wary of visiting than others but you'd hope that if you had your prescription with you, then it wouldn't be an issue.

Saying that air travel within Europe would be a headache. As for Schengen, it's a blessing but you can still be forced to produce your passport when travelling over land. I've had this happen to me a number of times, it's not big deal but I'd imagine it would make you feel a bit uneasy if you had weed on you, especially if it's the middle of the night and you're half asleep on a bus.
