Cheers dudes, I really enjoyed the grow, if not a little stressful with all the images and details. Done now and I'm enjoying the rewards :)

Billy, can't fault you mate, waiting while they're cured a bit. Top job on your diary, some real monster colas, respect ;)

Amo, I really apreciate you not being in the comp and dropping in regular, same to you ANTHONY.

ANTHONY, that's a tough one, I'm like a kid in a candy shop at the moment and it's very close between the Psico, Lemon Kush and Killer Kush. But then there's the Red Mandarine.......Oh I'll shut up lol

@ANTHONY13 I'm still spoilt for choice mate. I can tell you though, the smells in the jars are getting amazing. The Red Mandarine absolutely reeks of sweet mandarines with a sharp citrus undertone. The undertone reminds me of pear drop sweets when you crunch 'em and the intense taste catches your throat. The taste when smoking it though is much more mellow but very sweet.

Been smoking Killer Kush the last couple of nights  and it's turning into a really nice smoke. Very nice and relaxing with a clear head, it's like taking an anti anxiety pill  Up until now, this could well be on par with my fave smoke ever. Like I said though, I'm like a kid in a candy shop. Happy chappy here :D

2nd Harvest and final figures.

It made a bit more work but I'm pleased I left the lowers for a while longer on 4 of the plants. This gave me a nice surprise of 130g. If I'd cropped the full plants at once there would have been a fair bit of airy bud due to a lack of light penetration.

Indigo Berry Kush.
Harvested on May 11th, Day 76.

On May 20th The Indigo Berry Kush was brown paper bagged after 9 days hanging to dry. May 21st I bagged the others. The Killer Kush had been hanging for 9 days, the Lemon Kush 8 days and the Do-Sweet-Dos for 7.

On May 22nd I jarred them all after weighing.

Final overall yield.

Red Mandarine F1 Fast Version: One harvest................76g.
Indigo Berry Kush: 1st 53g, 2nd 58g. Total...................111g.
Killer Kush F1 Fast Version: 1st 99g, 2nd 27g. Total.....126g.
San Fernando Lemon Kush: 1st 114g, 2nd 31g. Total...145g.
Do-Sweet-Dos: 1st 121g, 2nd 14g. Total.......................135g.
Psicodelicia: One harvest..............................................158g.

Grand total.........751g in 11.5L pots of soil under 2 x 315W CMH and jam packed into a 1.2 x 1.2 tent. Happy with that for a 7 week veg from the seedlings appearing :D If I'd done things different there would have been more pruning, less colas and better light penetration.

6 for the 6th posted on 6th Jan. 666 the number of the beast. Loved every minute but phew, glad it's over and I can relax with my rewards :)

Like last time I've saved the theme tune for the diary until the end. One of my fave tunes from my youth :yep:

Thanks to Sweet Seeds and all who followed my diary.

Well done to all the other entrants and good luck :yep: Happy growing and be lucky   :bong:

Here's a dried bud from each plant.

Middle two are San Fernando Lemon Kush and the obvious Red Mandarine.

Top left Do-Sweet-Dos.

Top right Psicodelicia.

Bottom left Killer Kush.

Bottom right Indigo Berry Kush.

It was meant to look like a cannabis leaf but looks more like a dragonfly with a red sting in it's tail lol

All the best in the competition everyone :yep:

Enjoyed that! Over a spliff of sweet seeds Jack 47 :skin_up:How frustrating to have wiped the other one, this is a great way of showing the development quickly too.

Glad I’m not in this year’s competition, several great efforts from folks and I know it takes a lot of time so hats off  to you and everyone else tbh :yep:

@Fragg Cheers man. Yeah it was a bit frustrating after spending all week learning and creating it. At least I gained the knowledge to do another one quickly when time was running out. All good experience I say lol

Then I was a minute late getting it posted in the video comp but thought I'd still share it :)

I've been looking forward to reading this diary and well, it was worth the time taken too. :yep:

Impressive work Nugs, very impressive and to run six strains and keep them as tamed as you did, highlights just how much work has had to been done.  The diary/growing and end result is an outstanding body of work that should place you in a very good standing for getting the top spot.

It's work like this that adds to these boards as being one of best libraries regarding the growing of our favourite herb and long may it continue too.

Hat's doffed my friend and good luck! :notworthy:

Yes this was a great diary, I really enjoyed the ins and outs of what was going on at each stage as well as the gorgeous photos.

Good job.

Keep up the ace work

@botanics Cheers brother, really appreciate you reading through the whole diary and your kind words :) It was a lot of hard, time consuming work and TBH I'm glad it's over lol Might get a bit of time now to catch up around the boards.

@Shumroom Great screen name and welcome to the boards :yep: Thanks very much for following the diary. Glad you enjoyed the details of each stage, makes it all worthwhile :)

I've been enjoying the KK, SFLK, PSI and RM for the past couple of weeks and really can't decide which is the best. All great highs in their own way and the tastes are really coming out. The Red Mandarine is smelling and tasting sublime! I've been leaving the IBK and DSD a bit longer to see if the tastes come out more, but maybe the others are just sweeter and more to my taste. The effect is the most important though for my mental health and I must say all 6 strains suit me for different times and situations. I think the Psico will be the go to for the daytime ;)

All the best.

6 for the 6th Sweet Oil.

Hi folks, at long last I've managed to do the oil run I mentioned earlier in the diary. So here it is, just wish I'd had the time to do it before the deadline. Never mind, better late than never :)

First off this is not a tutorial for newbies, just the very basic way I go about it. If you're new to making oil I ask you to do some research into the safest ways to do it and not to follow my actions.

The trim from all 6 plants, some popcorn nugs and 5 or 6 buds that fell off the stalks while trimming, were weighed and came to 129g bone dry. The materials were split into 2 large Kilner jars and put in the freezer along with 2L of ISO for a couple of hours to freeze up before I started.

The first jar and the ISO.

The second jar.

large.5eebe4d9561bf_DSC_1416ER.jpg

I washed each jarful for 2 and 1/2 minutes. Here's the tincture after squeezing through the cloths.

large.5eebe4daf1ed1_DSC_1417ER.jpg

Filtering through doubled up coffee filters.

large.5eebe4dcca42e_DSC_1418ER.jpg

Filtered and poured into one jar.

After an hour under a quantum board to get rid of the Chlorophyll.

large.5eebe4e020a22_DSC_1421ER.jpg

I wasn't happy with the colour so it went back under the lamp for another hour.

large.5eebe4e1c1a5c_DSC_1422ER.jpg

On the boil with the lid removed and extractor fan on 50% to draw the fumes straight off.

large.5eebe4e3895c7_DSC_1430ER.jpg

Nearly done after the 3rd top up, lid on to keep the bowl weighed down on the element as the liquid weight reduced, and cooker tilted up on a bit of wood for the oil to run down to one edge.

large.5eebe4e550dfc_DSC_1432ER.jpg

1 Hour and 10 minutes altogether to boil all the alcohol off. This photo was a few minutes before the last alcohol bubbles disappeared.

large.5eebe4e715363_DSC_1445ER.jpg

After three 2 hour sessions over 3 nights, rice cooker on warm to properly decarb until no carbon bubbles whatsoever, agitating the oil every now and then to help release the carbon.

large.5eebe4e8bb17c_DSC_1473ER.jpg

11g syringed from the bowl.

large.5eebe4ea8e326_DSC_1479ER.jpg

A further 1g. There's still some dregs in the bowl. Anyone who does this method will know how awkward it is to syringe the last dregs out as it's cooling.

large.5eebe4ec6e22e_DSC_1481ER.jpg

The finished product in the ramekin.

large.5eebe4ee43714_DSC_1487ER.jpg

Not a very good close up but looks to me like the edge of the moon in a starry sky lol

large.5eebe4fad1e5b_DSC_1505ER.jpg

And a close up to finish off with.

large.5eebe4ff6331c_DSC_1495ER.jpg

12g from 129g works out at a 9.3% return which I'm very pleased with from a run of mostly trim. I've got to say peeps, this is the tastiest best smelling oil I've ever made and I'm over the moon with it :D

The taste is sublime, leaves a thick coating of sweetness in my mouth for ages before the oily taste comes on. Instant up high with an electric buzz. Slight visuals like I could see electrical energy in the air the first time I tested it, but my head was also tired at 3:30am. Totally relaxes my neck and shoulders and makles me feel great. This is real medicine for me, thankyou very much indeed Sweet Seeds. And the so called medical specialists that are paid to say cannabis doesn't relieve chronic pain can come and talk to me. The wankers are denying people of what they really need.

That's all folks, diary over, last post honest!
Hope you enjoyed the diary, happy growing and be lucky  :smokin:
