I do, and don't like this “believe and achieve” mentality, but to be honest I kind of feel it plays into the lazy persons hands.“ I don't have to try that hard. I just have to believe”

All the examples they use  in books are of people who yes, believed in themselves, but also worked Dam hard in whatever field they worked in.

So while I love having a positive, optimistic outlook on my future, and my life, if I don't get the fuck out there and pound out some hard work I don't deserve to go anywhere, or impact anyone's life around me in a positive way. Just my thoughts.

Equally there are people out there who graft hard there whole lives, never taking sickys, rare holidays, work loads of overtime but still end up skint and miserable is old age.. Simply because there efforts were misplaced..

I agree with your point though. You can't just believe yourself rich/happy/whatever.  You have to make positive, definite steps in the right direction..

If your making progress your usually making money. And progress is a really good measure of happiness/content too.

Motion is the key, forward motion, even when you fail, you fail forward, learning, progressing...

I'm more and more convinced that the law of attraction is constantly at work though. We really do attract into our lives much of what we put out.  Also universal intelligence, I think there is a vast reserve of knowledge that anyone of us can/could tap into it we learn how...

Tuppence only as usual, take what you want, discard what you don't, such is life

Guilty as charged mate.

But regardless i still try and make positive changes in my life, and have dropped that victim mentality i used to have.

Not exactly where i want to be, but at least i know in myself that i am trying.

Thats kind of my point. Whatever is going on in your head, be it positive or negative, you must take action, as its the most important key to success.

And, like @Dodgee , i also very much believe in the law of attraction, but again a more action based law of attraction.

I watched this podcast with Ben Greenfield last night.

Really interesting stuff, grounding, medicinal plant use (cubensis/canna) right through to stem cell research and treatment.

I've put it here but could easily have gone in a few other threads/topics too,

Ben's an interesting character, I look forward to watching/reading some more of his stuff.

Worth watching just for the "right of passage" he got lined up for his kids!

Interesting video @Jimboo :yep:

It's funny, a couple months back my hand/wrist started playing up, still not 100% sure what's wrong with it yet, maybe arthritis, maybe carpal tunnel syndrome... (Or yeah could be wankers cramp lol ) waiting for X-ray results still!

Anyways it fucking hurts like fuck whenever I shake anyone's hand, I was never one for big crushing handshakes, just give as good as you get was always my motto, but this weak wrist thing has made me really self conscious like.

Despite not being the finger crushing type the idea of having a weak shake/grip is oddly unsettling..

So what he was saying about the stronger/upper grip being dominant seems right, as my current lack of grip strength really has hit my confidence in a seemingly disproportionate manner .

is only since I started smoking cannabis I started to work on my mental, because I think different I cant socialise and I try not to speak to people, I never try to have a conversation with anyone ever, a few quick words is all I need to appear sociable. is pointless me ever revealing my true thoughts as it might just alienate people, I am so much into my own mind I think it gives me a better understanding of people and life. my mind is invincible
