Very likely, as you say they are a solid firm and have been around for years, can't imagine them risking their good name by producing something inferior. As we know and is proven here, word gets round this community like wildfire so reputations can be trashed PDQ........ask Gerald Ratner.......

badbillybob
Better not, hes as PC as chubby Brown. Ive had a delivery today, 3 hoods and some ducting, that's the good news Heres the new recruits, 3 x Critical XXL from Zambesa, just showing.above the cubes. I don't know if I will bother with them or not to be honest, ill see how they look in a couple of weeks and decide I pulled the 2 sick looking lemon hazes, got fed up trying to save them. One was just a poor example and the other had cal mag deff, but it didn't seem to recover after a hefty dose of cal mag. I sometimes think you end up chasing your tail with poor plants, for them never to recover fully, so now I just pull the fukrs out and start again. Here are the remaining 2 lemons, the one on the left had its tops topped yesterday, its gonna be a beast I reckon, the other one is a bit below par, but that's what I get for starting from seed instead of cuts, I suppose. I turned off the 4th light and put this one up to 600W fo these should start growing at a decent rate now. I hope. Removal of the 4th light and turning this one up seems to have had no affect on temps, which is nice..... Ive already decided I aint doing super lemon haze again, unless Panik brings out seeds from his mum. On to the mobys, they are just growing away, no issues, they are an easy mistress, sitting at 0.6 EC and ph of 5.7. Mobys are still under 2 x 400s I topped them today, the main stem and all the offshoots, im aiming for small bushes from these. Im leaving the nutes for another week, they are stable and these are only 3 weeks in the system, 1 week from last res change. Looking promising. Dinafem-Mark
New hoods and new ducting Definitely looking after your girls my friend The Moby,s are clearly loving life and growing at a steady pace, just what we want to see Looks like you have a bit of grow room improvements to make Looking good in here All the best Mark..
badbillybob
Thanks Mark, yes its nice to receive stuff in the post, sometimes, its not all bills lol. I put the lights up to 600w last night, because there are only 3 lights on now, after ive pulled the 2 super lemons. Hopefully I will see a growth spurt from them. And yeah the aircooled lights will go up shortly im gonna have to screw battens to the ceiling first, to fix them to, so that's tonights entertainment. the hoods are fairly light in weight, so it shouldn't be as much of a struggle as I had with my old magnum XXLs, they weigh a frickin ton. The plan is screw 2 by 1s to ceiling then use 75mm eyes to hang the hoods and fan from. then I will have to lower my filter stand, (Jointhogger will be devastated that im going to modify my woodworking masterpiece ha ha ) as im gonna put metre long filters in here to replace the smelly 600 ones. They are on route. im still thinking about binning the critical XXLs, because I reckon these will be ready to flip in a fortnight, so they criticals wont have long enough to get to a decent size. we will see. badbillybob
Sorry brother , its for the greater good. I will see if I can equal it somehow, altho it will be a real challenge ha ha. Ive just gone for cheapo silverstars this time, they aren't the best by a fair chalk, but if they keep the temps down they will do. its all I could afford, but they worked out at 60 quid each delivered so it will have to do. Im only gonna put them up if I decide to do the critical XLs. and use the other 2 lights. Im sure they would be fine for a scrog. As you will know, the air cooled reflectors aren't as effective as open reflectors, but needs must, ill get the timber and that up anyway, just in case. badbillybob
No of course not, grab a chair, and a joint. Well, ive decided im gonna update this on Sundays from here on in, just to keep me right. Im coming up for 4 weeks veg - tomorrow and they are due a res change out, so its gonna be done tomorrow. The super lemon survivors are starting to go for it a wee bit, its still the little and large show, but they are doing better than their now dearly departed runtlings. I will see how these go before deciding on another topping sesh or not. . The dinafem mobys are doing great. Ive nothing to complain about with them, but they are squat bushy plants. Im gonna either LSt them or remove some of the bigger fans to.give the light a fighting chance of penetrating the canopy. They are dense plants, and look pretty indica leaning to me, which is great as I preffer the indica stone. Roots are coming along nicely too. They are still under the 600s and the EC and ph are 0.6 and 5.8, The water level is dropping and the nurte strength is droppin by 0.1ec every 3-4 days. Like I said im gonna change out the res, but it will just be getting the same levels back in there, till they start to go into feed overdrive mode. I reckon another week at 0.6 then if they are drinking more or the ec is dropping by 0.2 I will up it to 0.8. Im not a fan of over feeding, and none of them look hungry, so they will stay as they are for now. If it aint broke don't fix it. the mobys have been topped at the main stem, then the 8 side shoots have been topped, but they aren't growing outwards as I hoped so they will get some encouragement this week, I want them lowish and wide before I flip. roots for the rootporn fans Same time next week , seeya there...….

badbillybob
changed res tonight, only 2 and a half hours this time.500l/hr pump FFS. I think ill stick with fortnightly changes. Added extra cal mag to this one, so it ended up around 100ml cal mag, same of silicone, and the rest of bloom, all Ionic nutes of course. res is approx. 200 litres the super lemon looked like it had the start of needing some calcium, so I just gave it some. I over fed slightly,no biggie, - its at 0.7 EC, Ph is 5.8. I also took a load of big fan leaves off the mobys, to get the smaller shoots and new budsites some light. I don't normally advise this, but its so bloody dense I had little option Edited September 16, 2018 by badbillybob

Dinafem-Mark
That root growth on the purple Moby dick is crazy. We all know happy roots = happy and healthy plant The reflectors you have brought look fine brother, they will definitely give you the coverage needed and allow that hot air to be expelled much easier making grow room temps more manageable Grow room is looking great and flourishing. You just need to get the new equipment up now Good luck mate, I'll drop back in on the next update All the best Mark..
