Little Green Men (and Big Green Girls)

Hey All!

 

Big thanks to @HSO-Mark for supplying the beans for this year's Humboldt adventure!

 

Myself and Andro will be growing Blueberry Headband and OG Kush in this diary, and are hoping for big bushy girls and some nice flavours from these plants.

 

Andro will be germing the beans soon...otherwise we've been out weekends getting plots ready....so not much to look at yet but hope to keep the diary full with pictures as the season unfolds.

 

Here are the beans....really top quality packaging from Humboldt...no way these are getting crushed in the mail:

We really missed you last season and I'm so glad you reached out

 

One thing guaranteed with a @zug and @Andromedian grow is we will see a fantastic grow with a lot of fun along the way

You guys liked the OG kush last year... Were they dinafem? Would be interesting to do a comparison.

Yep they were Dinafem last year. This year we're doing both Dinafem and HSO versions so will give a good comparison. 

 

In other news, all Blueberry Headband have germed and are under lights...but the OG's are not yet showing, but it's early still so not concerned yet.

Little update,  OG Kush are now cracking just fine...

 

 

1 straggler but otherwise happy days.

And...we're upgraded this year on the plot cooking front. Andro now has a high tech rocket powered stove that boils water fast:

 

 

So fuelled with coffee and hot chocolate we should get work done faster at the plots  Food wise its only good for pot noodles or dehydrated stuff...so we're also planning on installing a permanent bbq grill at one or two of the plots for the steaks and canna burgers

^ hmm good shout on the Moccas, will do them tonight when we go out methinks.

 

Ok update time. Me and Andro have gone back to a plot we found 3 years ago but never used. We even dug holes there and stashed our tools in the bush, so were very pleased when we arrived and found our stuff, as it was clear no-one else had been there in all that time (but also slightly gutted we didn't make use of it previously).

 

We called this place UFC plot after Andro done himself in with a bad head injury crossing the motorway first time round, and looked like he'd been in a war.

 

It's been a hell of a slog getting all the gear down here...but finally last night completed the delivery part and got on with creating the towers and mixing our huge amount of soil, vermiculite, bonemeal, and the best but most stinky nutrient...6X fibrous manure.

 

Here are some pics. ..will be putting some of the HSO little ones here, and some at another plot:

 

All ready for work to begin...finally no more carrying shit!

 

if you go down to the woods today...you might meet this nutter!

 

Electric hedge trimmers this year...battery lasts a good hour and makes short work of clearing the plot to ground level:

 

lovely soil here, hoping the roots get down there and spread out into it...

 

our snow capped mountain mix, pre mix up

 

 

and we left the plot with a good 10 towers made up ready for plants to go in next week:

 

Was a hell of a nights work, getting back home by about 4am utterly fucked but pleased with the result.

 

Off out tonight to sort another plot ready for autos...

already been an adventure....we ain't bloody stopped...doing shitloads of rgs stuff, just found out I have missed the competition doh!

bit gutted about that....haven't been on here for a while, sorting shit out in my life...

Zug and myself were out again on Friday planting out in towers at ufc plot...dfg's looking good, head and shoulders better than anything else at the early stage.

struggling with the og kush hso's...2 made it out of 5....

blueberry headband are a different kettle of fish....bit like lidl and waitrose...all 5 are doing well as expected, 

saying that though, the dinafem og kush are also struggling and have incurred a few losses. So on par with each other.
