dotcotton
Hehe, don't be silly my friend You're doing an incredible grow diary here with your scrog, how could you not be nominated? Whether you win it or not it doesn't matter, after all you're about to win an amazing harvest (I'm a bit jealows to be honest), you'll have a grow diary that you will remember with (positive) nostalgia in many years to come when you come back to see it again and this is your first grow... So you're already a winner and the nomination is maybe the most deserved among the 5 nominations Sweet Seeds announced this month. And of course, companionship and fairplay all the way, maybe the most important parameter of this contest that Sweet Seeds will evaluate in the end. Very complete and kind grower, wish you all the best Sweet smokes! tommy Wow Tommy, Thanks ever so much my friend, I am truly touched. I had been meaning to dabble in some growing for years and never thought that it could turn into such a fun and rewarding hobby. Such kind words and encouragement mean a whole lot more than any prize. Thank you for making the competition a pleasure to partake in. dotcotton
Update 5th April 2012 Day 59 Flower Dear Diary, The past week has been super exciting thanks to being nominated for Grower of the Month. The community has been fantastic with many kind words and encouragement being shared. Thank you UK420 and Sweet Seeds. The plants are looking good and certainly nearing the end now, I will be commencing with a res change and flush this evening and hope to harvest in seven days (1.0 EC of Grow nutes for five days followed by two to three days of plain un-Ph'd water). Jack 47 looks as though she could do with a little longer but I think the others run the risk of really over cooking. Struggling to think of a relevant tune this week, so here's some concious bars from Miss Dynamites little brother, the very talented Akala... Akala - Fire In The Booth Group Shot Black Jack #1 Black Jack #1 is the furthest is the hardest plant to get to so it is difficult to assess her progress, but the good thing about that is that she has had the least amount of tampering and visits from the thieving bud fairy. Strong notes of liquorice from her, very tasty looking plant! Black Jack #2 Black Jack #2 is on top form as usual, certainly ready to go now. It looks like she's foxtailing (please correct me if I'm wrong) I don't know what the significance of this is but Papaduc told me to watch out for the foxtailing pheno PTO... dotcotton
Sweet Afghani Delicious I think SAD has had enough, she looks very ready to me but she will have to grin and bear it for another week until I can flush them and give J47 a little more time. Smell wise, I am getting a pungent grated onion and fatty lamb smell. I know it sounds weird but that's really what she smells like. might go down well with some Ayran from the local kebab man PTO... dotcotton
Jack 47 Oh my, what a plant! She has been densing up and packing on while the others wait. That lemony aftershave scent is really maturing and becoming more musky, allowing notes of sandlewood and diesel through. Wish I had the set up to give her another more time.
